Fall City, Washington, United States

This is a one of a kind, completely loaded XJ with only 2500 highway miles. The car is flawless, sits in my garage and only gets driven on a nice day. It just had is first service a hundred or so miles ago (next service around $13K), just put on new tabs  this July. This car is loaded (massaging front AC seats) and its a rocket 470 HP (Rear Wheel Drive, 8 speed Automatic w/Manual Paddle shifters). When I bought the car last fall, the MSR was $87,960 and Invoice $76,676. Its in such good condition, this car could be sitting on the show room floor because its really brand new. Why am I selling it?  I abandoned the corporate executive grind and that car payment needs to go away.

LOADED FEATURES INCLUDE:

VISIBLY PACKAGE

This package includes Adaptive Front Lighting, cornering lamps and Intelligent High Beam.4 The Adaptive Front Lighting System monitors vehicle speed and steering angle, and rotates the headlights to cast light deeper into corners, significantly improving nighttime visibility— particularly on winding roads. Using a front mounted sensor, the Intelligent High Beam feature switches the high-beam headlights on or off, depending on oncoming traffic.

Are you the Jaguar F-Type Coupe R-S?

Fri, 23 Aug 2013

It's no secret that Jaguar is working on a fixed-roof version of the F-Type roadster, but now it looks like it's also developing a high-performance model for said coupe. Captured sharpening its claws at the Nürburgring, this F-Type Coupe prototype could very well be an R-S or even a more track-ready R-S GT variant.
Our biggest clue suggesting the latter are its massive brake rotors with bright-yellow calipers - similar pieces are also found on the recently introduced XKR-S GT. This would make sense, since a report in May said that Jaguar is looking to create a full line of R-S GT models in a similar fashion as the Mercedes-Benz AMG Black Series. Missing from this prototype, though, are the telltale aero add-ons we seen on the XKR-S GT - go-faster bits like the latter's front fascia winglets and rear wing, though this model is obviously still being developed. Regardless of what this new grippier, quicker kitty is called, we say "Yes, please."

Leno and Ian Callum pilot Jaguar XK120 at 2014 Mille Miglia

Mon, 02 Jun 2014

Jay Leno has been in a British mood recently with his videos highlighting the McLaren P1, 1962 Norton 650SS and Steve McQueen's 1956 Jaguar XKSS. He's keeping the streak alive this week with a look at driving a Jaguar XK120 in the 2014 Mille Miglia historic rally with Jaguar Design Director Ian Callum.
The video show off Jay Leno's Garage in top form. It's way more than just Jay driving the 1,000-mile route from Brescia, Italy, to Rome and back. He also includes interviews with Stirling Moss about winning the race back in 1955, and racer Martin Brundle about what it's like to drive a long-nose Jaguar D-Type this year.
Today, the Mille Miglia is only for historic cars, and it has a much more relaxed pace than the original all-out event. However, this isn't entirely a cruise. Leno seems scared at times talking about it because the drivers are free to ignore the speed limits and open the cars up as much as they are willing to. The roads aren't shut down for regular traffic, either, and things can be dangerous.

Hot Rod Garage series premieres with 700-hp big-block Jaguar XJ

Fri, 23 May 2014

Roadkill hosts Mike Finnegan and David Freiburger have broken up - kinda - to spin off a new show, Hot Rod Garage, that mostly gives up the driveway and parking lot wrench work for the confines of a garage. We say kinda because while Finnegan is the primary host for Hot Rod Garage, Freiburger plays guest host and the new show starts off by wrenching on the Roadkill Draguar project car.
What's the Draguar? It's a 1974 Jaguar XJ12 that's about to be force-fed a 383-cubic-inch Chevrolet long-block engine with tidbits like Holley carbs, a Weiand 6-71 roots blower and a "custom WillBlow transmission," all good for about 700 horsepower. After that Finnegan gets into swapping parts on his wife's El Camino and some TIG welding lessons.
You can check out the first episode below. And in case you're worried, no, Roadkill isn't going away.
