A Beautiful example of a 1995 Jaguar XJS COUPE in remarkable condition with the very reliable 4.0 liter 6 cylinder engine, not the troublesome 12 cylinder engine. It is a very nice color combination in BURGUNDY with contrasting CREAM leather interior .

The paint is all original and is in a beautiful Burgundy and is in absolutely beautiful condition with only minor door dings, 1 scuff on the bumper and few scratches all which can easily be repaired. The leather an off-white magnolia and is still very soft and supple with the only very light wear on the drivers seat . Inside you get the wonderful aroma of wood and leather and the wood is very nice as are the carpets trunk and engine compartment.

Mechanically it runs and runs and drives perfectly with only 28k original miles and the car needs nothing. There are no warning lights on and everything works including the  heat and cold A/C, all windows, seats, power top, keyless and door locks and all electrics work as they should.

This is a Florida car so it has never seen salt or rust and it has always been garaged ,only used in the summer at a summer home. I know all of the history in the car and it will come with the original keys,books/manuals. I acquired the car to become part of my collection  but am having to downsize due to storage so one has to go and I would love this car to go to a great home. This car is beautiful enough to enjoy for pleasure or for show. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or want any more info on the car, I am more than happy to discuss the car

Watch this bad parker get what's coming to him

Fri, 02 Aug 2013

If you're lucky enough to have a nice vehicle, do your fellow gearheads a favor and don't park like a clown. Seriously. Not only will you anger everyone who is trying to find a place to park, but your nice car is a billboard reinforcing the stereotype that car people are self-important and inconsiderate.
Take this gentleman for example. He has a Jaguar XK, and understandably wants to take care of it. Rather than parking it far, far away from any other cars and getting a bit of exercise by walking to his building, he takes up two spots (albeit barely) close to the structure. From the cameraman's narration, we can tell his coworkers are less than thrilled about his inability to stay between the lines.
Naturally, they wanted to teach him a lesson, so they parked a bigger vehicle as close to his driver's door as possible. Mr. XK's attempts to enter his vehicle are rather amusing, culminating in his climbing through the passenger side and scooching over to the driver's seat. While we can debate this sort of treatment all day long, it was effective. The video includes a follow up at the end showing where the XK driver parked the next day, and as you might guess, it wasn't in the same spot.

Which is hotter, Lana Del Rey or the Jaguar F-Type?

Fri, 15 Feb 2013

Lana Del Rey's "Burning Desire" video, the first musical collaboration between Jaguar and its hired songstress, is half music video, half long-form lifestyle commercial for the 2014 F-Type. If you like Del Rey channeling glamorous fifties fame as she lays down vocals of sensuous, languid dolor over images of black-and-white yesteryears, you'll like this song off of her new EP, Paradise.
We think the appearance of a red and brand-new Jaguar, though, is incongruous - either Del Rey or Jaguar is the anachronism, take your pic. That's not to say it's not beautiful, however, so enjoy the combination in the video below.

Lightweight E-Type to show historic side of Jaguar Special Operations in Monterey

Mon, 11 Aug 2014

Jaguar has made a lot of great vehicles over the years, but as far as historians are concerned, it still very much lives in the shadow of the original E-Type, small as it was. In its image, Jaguar has made two generations of XK and the new F-Type, but what we have here is the most faithful continuation of the E-Type heritage yet.
Alongside the Range Rover Sport SVR and the F-Type Project 7 (making its US debut), Jaguar Land Rover and its new Special Operations division will roll into Pebble Beach this year with the continuation Lightweight E-Type. Of the 72,500 E-Types which Jaguar built between 1961 and 1975, only a dozen were Lightweight versions, and they remain the most coveted E-Types of all. It originally planned on building 18 examples, though, and five decades later, it's now committed to completing that original production run in faithful detail.
The Lightweight E-Type was based on the standard roadster and was homologated as such, just with some key upgrades to make it lighter and faster. The biggest change, of course, was the lightweight aluminum bodywork that cut 205 pounds off the curb weight. To replicate it, Jaguar took the last example (the only one made in 1964 after the original eleven were made in '63), scanned half its body surface, mirrored it to ensure symmetry and set about reproducing it with the same standard of materials available in the Sixties (and resisting the urge to go with more modern grades of aluminum). 75 percent of the 230 components are made in-house, with the largest stampings outsourced and built on machinery built to Jaguar's specifications off-site.
