Offered for sale is a 2005 Jaguar X-Type Vanden Plas AWD 3.0 V-6. Mechanics Special. Fully Loaded. Automatic Transmission. 2014 NJ Inspected. Service history available. Car has been sitting for a while and DOES NOT START now. Engine will not turn over. Car ran fine when parked. Will have to be towed out of the property. We do not know what is wrong with the vehicle, we do not know the extent of the problem, and we do not offer any mechanical advise. Please bid accordingly. Exterior has various minor scratches, nicks, scuffs, and other minor imperfections throughout the vehicle. Interior is in great shape with some very minor wear showing throughout. Electrical accessories seem to operate as they should. Other than that, we did not notice any issues. Please study the pictures carefully. What you see is what you get. Given the condition of this car and an absolute NO RESERVE auction, this car is sold absolutely as-is, where-is, with all faults that it may or may not have, and without any warranties expressed or implied. Jeremy Clarkson's Jag going up for auction
Sun, 18 Aug 2013Fans of Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson might want to make plans to be in the UK next weekend. On August 24, Anglia Car Auctions in King's Lynn is auctioning off Clarkson's black 1999 Jaguar XJR as part of its classic sale. According to the auction house, the Jag was "originally the daily drive" of Clarkson and has had one registered owner since.
Clarkson's former ride clocks in at 93,000 miles and has an estimated price of 2,500 to 4,000 pounds. At roughly $3,300 to $5,300 in US dollars, that could be quite a steal for a hardcore Jeremy Clarkson fan. And with a supercharged 4.0-liter V8 engine and lavish interior, it's a luxury sport sedan lover's dream.
This isn't the first time Clarkson has crossed paths with Anglia Car Auctions. Back in 2009, he and fellow Top Gear stars James May and Richard Hammond made an appearance at another vintage auction to buy vehicles for a future segment of the show.
Evo pits Jaguar XKR-S vs. Mercedes SL63 AMG in heavyweight droptop fight
Wed, 12 Mar 2014We recently received the sad news that the Jaguar XK is ceasing production by the end of the year, but what better way to bid it farewell than with some big, smoky powerslides? The retirement of the sporty GT isn't actually the topic of the latest video from Evo - it's on hand to compete against the Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG to see which is faster around a track. Still, we can think of it as a wonderful sendoff for the Jag.
Both convertible grand tourers get their laps around the course, and they couldn't be more different. Driver Jethro Bovingdon gets some grins out of them both, but absolutely giggles while behind the wheel of the XKR-S convertible. The SL63 AMG is the more powerful of the two, but as we know, that doesn't always matter at a racetrack. Exploring Romania's storied Transfagarasan Highway in a Jaguar F-Type V8 S

When it declares a road the best in the world, like it did with Romania's Transfagarasan Highway during its 14th season, you can't blame people for showing up and wanting to check it out. Of course, then the road becomes clogged with tourists and is less fun to drive.
But is it possible that there is an even better driving road in Romania? One that is higher, smoother and undiscovered by tourists - at least not yet? Henry Catchpole from Evo thinks that he may have found it while driving a Jaguar F-Type V8 S that makes a sound that evokes a World War II British fighter plane.
