Here is a nice example of a Series I 1/2 E-type for restoration. The body is very dry and there is only minor rust, which is located on the front driver's sill where the bonnet goes down close to the wheel well. The Series I 1/2 E-type has some of the Series I E-type's nice feature, which consist of the same rear tail lamps, the triple windshield wipers and the same bonnet. The car originally came from Arizona hence the very minimal rust. The car is a fully matching number car and the numbers are as follows: Chassis number - 1E77947BW, Engine number - 7E54161-9, Body number - 4E54100 and Transmission number - 24789. The mileage on the car is 106,000 miles. The original color of the car was Gun Metal Gray, which is on the frame rails. The interior is blue leather. The engine turns freely. Jaguar SUV mule doing Ring testing in Evoque clothes
Mon, 28 Apr 2014Jaguar has moved its Range Rover Evoque-bodied tests of the production C-X17 Concept from icy streets to the legendary Nürburgring, as work continues on the brand's first SUV.
Really, there's not a great deal of new stuff here. Based on the number plates, this is a different vehicle from the one we saw back in March, which we originally identified as the upcoming replacement for the Land Rover Freelander/LR2. The details, though, appear largely the same. The biggest distinction we can see between the March tests and this are the US-spec headlights, which add amber reflectors at their sides. Based on these shots, it does seem as if the C-X17 should be a fairly poised road vehicle, as the engineers hustle it around the 'Ring.
Of course, as soon our spies can capture images of a production-bodied C-X17, we'll be sure to pass those on to you. Jaguar working on lighter F-Type with C-X75's twin-charged engine?
Wed, 09 Jul 2014Every automaker has its own agenda when it comes to concept cars. Some roll them out just to showcase where it's heading. Others create them to gauge public opinion for a potential production model. Still others only showcase a concept car to preview a model that's already well underway. Jaguar is just such a company.
In the last several years, Coventry has only produced a handful of concept cars, and each of them - the C-X16 that foreshadowed the F-Type, the C-X17 that previews the upcoming crossover and Project 7 that is now entering limited production - has led straight to the introduction of a new, commercially available model. Except for one: the C-X75.
The extreme lightweight supercar was set to succeed the XJ220 with a number of advanced technologies, but unfortunately Jaguar ended up pulling the plug to watch from the sidelines as McLaren, Ferrari and Porsche got all the attention for their new hybrid hypercars. But that doesn't mean that some of the technologies initially developed for the C-X75 won't find their way into other Jaguar products.
