1998 Infiniti Qx4 Base Sport Utility 4-door 3.3l on 2040-cars
Stamford, Connecticut, United States
Car is in good running and driving condition; can drive anywhere. I still use it everyday so mileage might be a little different upon sale of vehicle. Has new parts including brand new alternator, spark plugs wires, new distributor and new fuel filter. Battery is good no problems. All lights are functional and in good working order including fog lights. Timing belt/ water pump done about 30000 miles ago. Car is so quiet when it is running; there is no exhaust problems. Brakes are good for another 15000 miles. All gauges work as they should no electrical issues. no cracks in dash and undercarriage is clean. Sunroof works goods all power and also equipped with a luggage rack. The radio sounds great; has Bose system all speakers in working order. The antenna is broken off but car has antenna embedded in windsheild so still has good reception. But new antenna comes with car; you just have to install it. The 4x4 works great even has locking differential. The transmission shifts like it should and leather seats have minimal wear.
Could use a oil change as I changed it last at 3000 miles ago. Car squeaks a little when you first start it so it could use some new belts. The tires in the front are okay but the ones in the rear need replacing; also missing 2 center caps. The chrome on the wheels could use some restoration but there are no bends or carcks on the wheels themselves. Need shocks all around DEFINATELY. Also car shakes a little at highway speeds, i think that is because of shocks but also it needs wheel bearings. The check engine light is on. I am not sure what it is. It is coming up as P0300 which means random misfire. I have done everything to try to fix it but I give up. The car needs super gasoline else it will stumble or hesitate; don't know why. A/C does not work; I have pulled the belt off the compressor pulley because it kept getting off track. The compressor is no good. The body has various scratches and dents and the door lower trim pieces have been removed as they were all rusted out. There is a nickel sized dent on passenger door and damaged paint on rear right side of bumper. The front bumper is damaged so that needs work too.
Car comes complete with owners manual and service manual on a cd if you want to work on it yourself. If buy it now price is met, vehicle can be shipped free of charge to anywhere within 100 miles of location(Stamford CT). |

2015 Infiniti Q70L
Tue, 02 Sep 2014A quick look at a scatter plot that charts rear legroom against luxury sedan MSRPs reveals a dearth of spacious bargains - few, if any, luxury sedans offer exceptionally spacious rear accommodations at a relatively low starting price. To fill the vacuum, Infiniti has made its Q70 available in a Q70L variant - in English, long wheelbase - for 2015.
The artist formerly known as the Infiniti M has been available in stretched-out form in the Chinese market for two years, and the US introduction is accompanied by several updates that include slightly reworked styling cues, and refinements to the drivetrain and chassis. The Q70L's wheelbase extends 5.9 inches (with a commensurate expansion of knee room), while overall length increases to 202 inches, a 7.3-inch bump. Powertrain options include a 3.7-liter V6 which produces 330 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque (starting at $51,350), or a 5.6-liter V8 that yields 420 hp and 417 lb-ft (and climbs to $64,550). The long-wheelbase treatment adds $1,500 to Q70 MSRPs. Not surprisingly, the Hybrid version is not available with the L treatment.
Up to three Q70L rear passengers are treated to reading lamps, a 12-volt power outlet, rear door close assist, and available heated seats. Unlike its Far Eastern counterpart (and competitors like the $61,500 Hyundai Equus), the US-spec Q70L's rear seats don't recline. Bummer.
Infiniti to offer pair of designer Q50 sedans on Gilt.com
Fri, 06 Sep 2013As Infiniti continues to roll out its 2014 Q50, the luxury branch of Nissan is looking to the online luxury purveyors at Gilt to move a couple of special editions of the new luxury sedan. Infiniti has teamed with designers Thom Browne and Zac Posen to create a pair of unique Q50 models, as part of the sale.
The exterior of Browne's car is finished in nearly reflective chrome. Now, we'd love to hold that against him (it's a bit too Bieber), but we think the interior that includes the designer's signature red, white and blue stripes and sterling silver accents is a bit classier. Posen's Q50 is more subdued, with a shades that seem to blend into each other. This ombré look starts in a light silver matte up front before terminating in a glossy, dark gray in back. We know plenty about the appearance of these two cars, but we're kind of in the dark about which powertrain they feature.
Rather than just throw these up on the web and pocket the profits, Infiniti is doing it right. It'll donate proceeds from each car's $75,000 sale price to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. As for the people that shell out $75K for the unique Q50s? Not only will they get a new vehicle, but they'll be gifted a $10,000 shopping spree on Gilt, along with a "style consultation."
2014 Infiniti Q50S
Mon, 03 Feb 2014Ten years ago, nearly to the day, I took delivery of a brand-new 2004 Infiniti G35 6MT. The sporty rear-wheel drive sedan, equipped with its throaty 260-horsepower V6, slick manual gearbox and limited-slip differential replaced my 2001 BMW 330i because the Japanese competitor touted a product that was roomier, better equipped, quicker and lower priced. The G35 trumped the German in nearly every measurable category - at least on paper.
The 2014 Infiniti Q50 is the direct descendant, albeit two generations later, of the car I owned a decade ago. It is dimensionally about the same size, but it has gained more than 300 pounds of mass thanks to numerous safety upgrades and technical innovations. The additional weight is largely dismissed by a larger and more efficient powerplant that delivers an additional 68 horsepower, a welcome arrival, but the manual gearbox that charmed enthusiasts has been pushed out of the picture by a mandatory seven-speed automatic transmission.
As it has in the past, Infiniti touts its all-new Q50 as a luxury sport sedan worthy of the title. Decades ago, impressive performance statistics may have sealed the deal. Yet there is much more to the assignment today, as the model must offer premium appointments, sophistication and engaging driving dynamics if it's going to entice and capture the next-generation of young, premium buyers - much like the G35 did for me ten years ago.
