2006 Hyundai Tiburon V6 Se Cheap And Reliable! Rare Color 6sp Needs Nothing on 2040-cars
Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States
For sale is my very nice 2006 Hyundai Tiburon GT V6 Special Edition Coupe. Rare orange color-only offered this year and model GT V6 engine with only 998xx miles- runs flawlessly, very quiet motor 6speed manual transmission- also rather rare and limited to this model, shifts smoothly! Black and Red leather interior which is very clean and well kept Exterior is in great shape- the paint shines and the body is in overall great shape This car has a rebuilt title due to some light body damage which I was told was due to vandalism. I had a new windshield installed professionally, as well as had some repair done to the hood and drivers side door. All of the work was done at a professional shop and you can in no way tell that there was anything wrong with the car. None of this affected the car mechanically-it was strictly cosmetic. I wouldn't be afraid to drive this car anywhere, and I am confident that you will be pleased with the overall condition of this car and how well it drives. Feel free to contact me personally with any questions or concerns. 260-638-8822. The car is located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It can be picked up here locally, or I can help arrange shipment anywhere in the U.S. I know a few companies here in town that can haul it very reasonably. |

Hyundai Genesis Coupe to get bigger, lux up?
Wed, 16 Jul 2014With the all-new, 2015 Hyundai Genesis Sedan hitting the road, it puts the current Genesis Coupe in a rather weird spot. The sporty model is starting to get a bit long in the tooth, and for 2015, it's dropped its four-cylinder engine in the US. Hyundai isn't letting the car whither on the vine, though. Behind closed doors, the Korean automaker is rumored to be working on a new coupe to transform the vehicle from something of a pony car in the current guise into a luxury grand tourer with avante garde styling.
The next-generation Genesis Coupe would reportedly borrow its design inspiration from the Hyundai HND-9 Sports Coupe Concept from the 2013 Seoul Motor Show, according to Australian site Go Auto. The key to the new model is growing it larger to be able to seat four adults and giving it more grown-up styling at the same time. Go Auto claims that the coupe could finally get a V8 engine option and possibly a V6 and turbocharged four-cylinder in at least some markets, too. It's slated for a possible 2016 unveiling.
Even during the HND-9's unveiling, Hyundai admitted that the concept projected of the design direction for future models. Its styling was certainly a big shift from the current Genesis Coupe with more hard creases, a wide, mesh grille and butterfly doors. The show car also packed a 3.3-liter turbocharged, direct-injected engine with 364 horsepower and an eight-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels.
Hyundai and Kia recalling 1.6M more models for faulty brake switch
Wed, 03 Apr 2013In what is likely the largest recall campaign for Hyundai and Kia, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced a recall of more than 1.6 million models due to a faulty brake switch. This is in addition to almost 700,000 Hyundai and Kia models recalled for the same problem back in 2009.
In more than 620,000 Kia models and 1 million Hyundai products for the 2007 through 2011 model years, the brake switch could malfunction causing the brake lights to not illuminate, which could lead to accident. Other possible issues with a faulty switch include the cruise control not cancelling with the brake pedal, the push-button starter not working properly and the shift interlock not disengaging causing the transmission to be stuck in Park. To fix the problem, the brake lights switch will be replaced.
Due to the large number of units being recalled, both automakers are issuing a notice by next month with parts not expected to be ready until June. The full list of affected vehicles and the NHTSA press releases are posted below.
Judge reduces damages in fatal Hyundai crash to $81M
Wed, 24 Sep 2014Hyundai no longer has to pay $248 million as part of a court ruling from a fatal accident in Montana that killed two cousins in a 2005 Tiburon. The judge hearing the appeal revised the amount down to a total of about $81 million. She upheld the original $8.1 million in actual damages but reduced the punitive damages to $73 million from the previous $240 million.
According to Bloomberg, the judge refused Hyundai's desire to reduce the amount even further. She said in her court order that the company showed "an indifference to or reckless disregard of the health and safety of the motoring public."
In the original case, the families' attorneys alleged that the cracking of a faulty steering knuckle caused the fatal accident. Hyundai argued that fireworks had been let off inside the vehicle, which caused the driver to swerve and crash. In a statement released after the ruling, the automaker claimed that evidence supporting its defense was barred from the trial. According to Bloomberg, had the original amount of damages been upheld, it would have been the sixth-highest amount awarded by a jury in the US this year.
