2000 Honda Insight Base Hatchback 3-door 1.0l on 2040-cars
Shelbyville, Tennessee, United States
I have for sale a 2000 Honda Insight that I purchased from the orginal owner. He purchased it new and I am the second owner. I have every record that was done thru a Honda Dealer. You are more than welcome to go to any Honda dealer and pull up the service reports. A new IMA battery has been installed in the last three months thru the Honda Dealership. Cost was almost $3800.00. Oil has been changed like clock work and this car is like new. It has been garage kept it entire life. The tires are new and the interior is excellent with no wear marks. It has ac and heat and is a standard tranmission. The paint is like new and the only flaw is on the front bumper where the a pebble hit and I cover it with Honda red paint. I am not a car salesman but I looked a long time to find a car of this calibur. True gas mileage around town is 52 to 55 and on the highway you will get in the 60's. I know this is a bold statment but you will look a long time to find another car in this condition. Nada retail is around $5400.00 but you throw the books away on this car because of its condition. Total mileage is now 112,782. will be happy to answer any questions. ken at 931-205-5195 The vehicle has been a florida car its enitre life until the last three months in Tennessee. It has never been in an accident. The clutch and brakes are good. I drove it almost 700 miles and it drove like a dream. On Apr-05-14 at 12:21:12 PDT, seller added the following information: There is a good bit more activity that I was expecting and to be fair to all if someone calls and hits my buy it now I will sell before the auction ends. thanks ken On Apr-05-14 at 18:18:25 PDT, seller added the following information: Yes to the questions of do I have the orginal manuels and also the orginal sticker price of the car in year 2000 that states it sold for $20,520.00 before taxes. |

2014 Honda Accord V6 Touring
Mon, 03 Mar 2014America's midsize sedan segment is one of the most crowded and fiercely competitive in the business. The Toyota Camry has long been our nation's best seller, while the Honda Accord has dutifully come in second place, like some sort of codependent Cal Naughton Jr. riding Ricky Bobby's back bumper.
There was that one year, 2001, when the Accord briefly broke the Camry's streak, marring what would today have been a 17-year-long run of best-selling car titles. The Accord pulled the opposite move in 2011, letting sales slip far enough to let not only the Toyota by, but the Nissan Altima and Ford Fusion, as well. Aside from those anomalies, the Camry and Accord have been first and second in this segment since before many of you readers could even drive.
It's 2014, and these frenemies have never before faced a threat to their world order as strong as today's class of family sedans. The aforementioned Altima and Fusion are perhaps the most capable challengers, but the Chevrolet Malibu, Hyundai Sonata, Kia Optima, Volkswagen Passat and Mazda6 are all capable of convincing new buyers to walk their way.
Honda Fit loses Recommended rating from Consumer Reports
Thu, 23 Jan 2014Thanks to its poor performance in the most recent round of Insurance Institute for Highway Safety crash testing, where it received the lowest overall score in the small-overlap test, Consumer Reports has bumped the Honda Fit from its "Recommended" list. When a car gets bumped from the magazine's coveted ranks, it's usually cause for concern. This is not one of those times.
As there is a new Fit barreling towards dealerships for an on-sale date this spring, we wouldn't pay too much credence to the current car's demotion. It's expected that the next-generation Fit should pass the test with flying colors, as CR is quick to point out that newer Hondas have traditionally done very well in the tricky small-overlap crash testing.
Of the subcompact cars tested by the IIHS, only the Kia Rio, which netted a "Marginal" score overall, is a Consumer Reports "Recommended" vehicle.
Honda could halve its US lineup without crimping its sales much [w/video]
Sat, 18 May 2013Taking a detailed look at the Honda lineup in the US, it isn't hard to see the strength of some models and the weaknesses of others. A recent report on Autoline Daily points out that its five core models - the Accord, Civic, CR-V, Odyssey and Pilot - make up a full 93 percent of Honda's sales in the US. Through April, Honda has sold 419,798 vehicles, and 389,474 of them were from these core models; not to mention the fact that the Accord was the top-selling car in the US last month.
This means that Honda could technically cut six of its 11 models and only lose about 5,000 sales per month. Of course, this is just some data crunching and there is no reason to believe that Honda is planning to kill off any of its models in the near future. In fact, it seems to be committed to the Ridgeline, while Japanese-made models that may actually lose money for Honda still fill unique voids. Scroll down for the video report - fast-forward to the 1:43 mark for the Honda info.
