Hello,
Up for sale is my 1998 Honda Civic Dx coupe with 5 speed manual transmission. I am the second owner of this car and it has been my baby for the past 8 years. With 160,000 miles, this civic has not once seen the inside of a repair shop for any reason. Car runs flawlessly with no leaks, sounds, smoking or burning of oil. The car shifts into every gear perfectly with a strong clutch. Paint job is about 4 years old and still looks great. There is only some minor chipping on the front end from normal wear and tear. Last year a tree fell on the hood and dented it (see pics) but did not remove clear coat or paint. Interior of the car has been extremely well kept. I removed the old carpet and headliner so they will need to be replaced ( very easy and cheap to do) Other than that the seats and dash have are in excellent shape. The engine runs very very strong, I have literally never had a problem with anything. No modifications have been done to the engine whatsoever. The vehicle is inspected until December and I have the title in hand. Check engine light comes on every now and then do to an O2 sensor from when I had the exhaust installed. This is a real easy fix, just never got around to it, does not effect the cars performance at all. This would be an awesome project car for Honda lovers or a great first for someone who just needs a reliable, gas efficient car to get them from A to B everyday without fail. I really hate to let her go but I'm too old to be driving it anymore. This car has easily another 100,000+ miles of life left. I swear this thing is indestructable. Below is everything I can think of that the car has as well as any problems. Please don't waist my time and yours. I know how Ebay works so I am only giving my number to serious buyers. Car is being sold AS-IS with no warranty. Everything I have written is honest and the pictures are very clear and accurate. Previous owner was in very minor rear end accident which you will see on carfax. no frame damage or anything to worry about at all. Title is clear. Thanks

Google poised to release Apple CarPlay rival this month

Tue, 17 Jun 2014

Apple and Google. They're the Michigan and Ohio State of the tech world. They're New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox, Real Madrid and Barcelona, or whatever sports-based rivalry you want to cook up. Bottom line, if one company expands into a segment, it's only a matter of time before the other follows suit. And now, that rivalry is about to carry over to your car's dashboard.
Unnamed sources are reporting to Automotive News that Google will unveil its very own challenger to Apple's new CarPlay in-car operating system later this month at the Mountain View, CA company's annual developer conference. The system, allegedly called Google Auto Link, will be the first product to come from the Open Automotive Alliance, a partnership between Google, General Motors, Hyundai, Audi, Honda and hardware manufacturer NVIDIA.
The official announcement is expected to be made on either June 25 or 26, at the Google I/O conference in San Francisco. Expect to hear a lot more about Google Auto Link then.

Honda returning to F1 as McLaren partner

Thu, 16 May 2013

Honda must really love Formula One racing, as evidenced by today's announcement that the Japanese automaker is returning to the world's most popular motorsport for the fifth time in its history. Honda has entered into a team partnership with McLaren to develop and manufacture power systems - the engine and energy recovery system - for the 2015 F1 season. McLaren will be in charge of chassis development and running the day-to-day operations of this newly formed team, which will be called McLaren Honda.
Honda says its decision to reenter F1 racing had to do with new regulations for the 2014 season that require cars to be powered by a 1.6-liter direct-injection turbocharged V6 engine paired with an energy recovery system. Apparently the chance to develop this particular powertrain for F1 racing was too enticing for Honda to pass up, which suggests it has bigger plans for the knowledge learned while developing these systems beyond just winning races.
As mentioned, this is Honda's fifth foray into F1 racing, the first being back in 1964 when it participated as its own team through 1968. Its longest stint came from 1983-1992 as an engine supplier, during which time it partnered with many teams, including McLaren, and won six Constructor Championships. Honda then returned from 2000-2005 as an engine supplier for British American Racing (BAR) before buying that team outright and running it as Honda Racing from 2006-2008. Then the global economic crisis hit. Honda's return to the sport will surely be welcomed by fans as its partnership with McLaren should produce a formidable team. It's a strong signal that the company has returned to health after a few tumultuous years, and hopefully its rediscovered motorsports mojo will help yield more passionately engineered street cars.

Consumer Reports explains its disdain for infotainment

Thu, 20 Mar 2014

One of the perks of reviewing all manner of cars and trucks is that we're exposed to all the different infotainment systems. Whether Cadillac's CUE, Chrysler's UConnect, BMW's iDrive or MyFord Touch, we sample each and every infotainment system on the market.
Not surprisingly, some are better than others. It seems consumers have come to a similar consensus, with Consumer Reports claiming that Ford and Lincoln, Cadillac and Honda offer the worst user infotainment experiences. Not surprisingly, you won't find much argument among the Autoblog staff.
Take a look below to see just what it is about the latest batch of infotainment systems that grinds CR's gears. After that, scroll down into Comments and let us know if you agree with the mag's views.
