1990 Honda Crx With B16 Engine Swap And 30k On Rebuilt Lsd Transmission on 2040-cars
Carrboro, North Carolina, United States
B16 with unknown mileage. It does not smoke and pulls strong. The close ratio transmission was rebuilt by Gearspeed with carbon synchros and has about 30K since the rebuild. AEM fuel rail and fuel regulator, CompCams with adjustable cam gears. Lightweight flywheel with stage 3 pressure plate. DC Sports headers and custom 2-1/2" stainless steel exhaust tubing. Stainless steel Borla muffler, Magnaflow high flow cat and Vibrant Performance resonator. Aluminum racing radiator. 17x7-1/2 wheels with 205/40-17 tires. Most of the parts needed for an integra brake swap are included. The car needs body and interior work. Buy to restore or buy it for the engine swap and sell the body, wheels, tires, exhaust and radiator. You would end up with an engine swap for very little money. Many of the engine swaps coming from Japan have problems with third gear grinds and pop outs and this transmission was rebuilt. How many engine swaps do you get to test drive?
The buyer must pick up or be responsible for shipping. The car must be picked up within 7 days after the close of the auction otherwise you will be responsible for the fees. I live in an apartment complex and cannot have a second car around. They would tow it away and I am sure it would be expensive.

NSX Concept-GT is the world's hottest way to boil water
Sat, 05 Oct 2013The Honda NSX Concept-GT is one sexy machine, and it looks to be a very effective tool on a race circuit. But Honda's latest web spot leads us to believe that it also can be used to make tea.
In the video, the racecar is hooked up to an apparatus that uses tubing to harness the energy from the car's 500-horsepower hybrid drive system, using it to boil water. The novel tea-making technique reminds us a bit of a couple other inventive Honda commercials, namely Hands and Cog.
Watch the NSX ad below, and be sure to turn the sound up to hear that glorious engine note.
Honda, Hyundai and Kia get best word-of-mouth recommendations in US
Mon, 09 Dec 2013Forget advertising, incentives and, yes, even our excellently crafted vehicle reviews, sometimes the best way for automakers to sell cars is still good ol' fashioned word of mouth. In an attempt to measure this "word of mouth" power, The Boston Consulting Group, a management consulting firm, has created a new study called the Brand Advocacy Index (BAI). The index takes a look at how various industries perform from person to person. Those industries include automotive, smartphones, grocery, mobile telecommunications and banking.
The study polled more than 32,000 individuals across Europe and in the US to come up with the top 55 brands in these various industries. On the automotive side of things, the top brands in the US were Honda, Hyundai and Kia, all tied at 63 percent. On a global scale, Volkswagen and Toyota scored the highest with a 65-percent BAI rating (both in France). The average BAI for auto industry players tallied 50 percent.
As for companies in other industries, Apple's iPhone was the index's top-rated smartphone, Trader Joe's was the highest recommended grocery store, Virgin was sat atop the mobile telecom industry and USAA was the top retail bank. Scroll down for the full press release on the new study.
Honda Civic Wagon Concept to debut at Geneva
Wed, 06 Feb 2013Honda is getting warmed up for the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, with a sketch of some very Euro-flavored forbidden fruit. Seen above (click on the image to see an expanded view) is the Honda Civic Wagon Concept Model - a rather tentative name for a car that Honda claims "provides strong cues for the exterior design of the final mass produced version."
The sketch seen here is obviously very stylized, but we think that if Honda can stay true to its sleek rounded forms and aggressive silhouette, the final product could be quite fetching. Note that this is an image handed out by Honda of Europe, for a European auto show - we have every expectation that that any production-ready Civic wagon will be a Europe-only deal. Sorry, guys.
Find Honda's brief press release below, which also includes news of the European debut of the updated NSX Concept we saw at January's Detroit Auto Show, along with a diesel-powered CR-V.
