2011 Honda Cr-v Lx Sport Utility 4-door 2.4l on 2040-cars
Emerald Isle, North Carolina, United States
This gently used Honda CR-V LX (2WD) offers a smooth, quiet ride with a roomy interior and responsive handling. A highly reliable vehicle with great fuel economy, averaging 29 MPG on the highway. Its 180 HP engine (4-cyl, VTEC, 2.4L) provides nice acceleration. Has excellent braking and is equipped with traction control, stability control, and ABS (4-wheel).
In March, installed new Michelin Defender tires (at a cost of $750) that have a 90k mile life span. Also purchased new Honda floor mats for front seats, back seats, and rear cargo bay. New retractable cargo cover (by Honda) included. The CR-V is very functional, practical, and safe (consistently rated by Consumer Reports as the #1 affordable compact SUV). I'm the second owner...purchased it in February this year from a software engineer in Cary. Has been responsibly owned and driven. Non-smoking, accident-free. Clean title and spotless history. Approaching only 32k miles and is in immaculate condition mechanically and cosmetically. Will consider fair offers. Message for additional pictures or to make an arrangement to see and drive the CR-V. Thank you for your interest! |

Watch these guys creatively cover No Diggity in a Honda Civic
Mon, 17 Feb 2014People do some weird things in their cars. Take these two gentlemen and their Honda Civic. Rather than tune in to satellite radio or hook up an iPod, they've opted to create their own music.
YouTube musician Flula (in the passenger seat) and his friend Chester perform a cover of Blackstreet's Number-One Billboard hit, "No Diggity," complete with the requisite auto tuning, all while on the go. Is it weird that we almost prefer this wacky version to the original '90s R&B classic? Take a look - and a listen - by scrolling below, and note that we've included the original song featuring Dr. Dre... you know, for comparative purposes.
Automakers teaming with Google to bring Android to cars this year
Mon, 06 Jan 2014Remember how we mentioned that Hyundai would be offering a BlueLink infotainment app for Google Glass? And how last week, we told you about a rumored partnership between Audi and Google? Well, both of these things were just part of a much bigger deal.
Google has teamed up with Audi, General Motors, Hyundai and Honda to form the Open Automotive Alliance. With the help of chipmaker NVIDIA, the group aims to bring Google's Android operating system to the auto industry on a large scale. While the speed with which Android will be adopted by the industry remains unclear - the OAA's own press release says "timing for each automaker will vary" - we could see the first Android-equipped vehicle by year's end.
For those that keep their ear to the ground in the automotive tech world, this is a big deal for more than just one reason - Honda, GM and Hyundai are all partners in the Siri Eyes Free program from Apple. The future of that relationship now that three of its automakers are in bed with Apple's arch-rival, though, could be under threat.
Consumer Reports says Toyota, Ford, Honda and Chevy are big winners in brand perception survey
Wed, 05 Feb 2014According to Consumer Reports, the automotive brands that stand out in the minds of car buyers are, in order: Toyota, Ford, Honda and Chevrolet. This news comes after the magazine polled its readers, asking them to take into account vehicle quality, safety, performance, value, fuel economy, design/style, and technology/innovation - which are the factors that car shoppers are most influenced by.
It's important to note that this award is only about perception. In other words, it's perceived quality, not actual quality. "Often, perception can be a trailing indicator, reflecting years of good or bad performance in a category, and it can also be influenced by headlines in the media," said Jeff Bartlett, Consumer Reports deputy automotive editor.
The brand that made the biggest jump in perception amongst Consumer Reports readers is Tesla, which posted an impressive 47-point gain to finish in fifth place. Subaru is also notable for finishing in the top 10, despite being one of the smaller manufacturers doing business in the US. Scroll down below for all the details from Consumer Reports, if you're so inclined.
