2011 Honda Accord Special Edition on 2040-cars
Elkton, Maryland, United States
2011 Honda Accord SE Up for auction is a
2011 Honda Accord SE with 97,981 miles.
This Accord drives excellent, shows excellent, and is very clean inside
and out. It is a one owner car that has been well kept and serviced regularly.
I have taken care of everything this car has needed over the last three years,
and have had absolutely no problems with the running of this vehicle. This is a
non-smoker car with heated seats, leather interior, alloy wheels, and a great
track record. She recently received new tires,
and there is 70% of the tread remaining. The car was recently
serviced in January and received new brake pads and rotors both front and rear,
a new interstate battery, a new water pump and a new oil filter with an oil
change. The water pump and serpentine
belt were removed and replaced. The engine was flushed along with the radiator
and heater core in both directions. PH was balanced and the thermostat and
electric cooling fans tested as fully functional and accurate. These were
replaced because not by need but as being proactive since the plan was for my
son to take the car out to Idaho this fall. Since the service, he has purchased
another car and so this service is just a benefit for you. Overall, there is
little exterior or interior signs of wear. There are a few exterior scratches and a small ding in the front lower drivers side bumper, but nothing out of the ordinary for a used car of this year and mileage. As for
interior, there is a minor warp in the leather on the drivers side seat in the
rear, but other than that the car is absolutely spotless. The accessories and
equipment work as they should with no issues. Everything is above average
considering the year and miles. Being a non-smoker car, this car has no smoke
odor. Engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, A/c, all power equipment works
as expected and with no kinks. The gas
mileage on this car is excellent. She gets me around 31 miles on the highway. This car has served
me very well over the last few years with no complaints whatsoever. I am
selling her to get my son a more climate appropriate car as he is off to
college in the fall for Idaho. If you
have any questions concerning the car, feel free to contact me. |

2015 Honda Fit shapes up for America [w/video]
Mon, 13 Jan 2014The Fit may be Honda's smallest (and, starting at $15k, most cost-effective) model, but it has never sold in quantities that even approach those of the brand's larger offerings - at least not in the United States. Where American Honda typically sells hundreds of thousands of Civic and Accord models - even CR-V crossovers and Odyssey minivans - annual sales for the Fit typically amount to tens of thousands. But the Japanese automaker hopes to expand its sales in the segment with the introduction of the new 2015 Honda Fit.
Having launched the all-new model several months ago in the Japanese Domestic Market, Honda is presenting the new Fit to the North American market here at the Detroit Auto Show. By and large, it's the same model that will be sold around the world, having been redesigned with more aggressive styling, a larger footprint on the road and more interior space. Only now it will be built for North American consumption at Honda's new plant in Celaya, Mexico, where the automaker plans to also build its new Vezel crossover (or whatever it'll be called here).
The North American Fit ditches the hybrid setup offered in the JDM model in favor of a new Earthdreams 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with direction injection and i-VTEC valve timing to help it deliver 130 horsepower and 114 pound-feet of torque. That's 13 more horses and 8 more torques than the previous model, and the engine can be paired to either a six-speed manual or Honda's new continuously variable transmission. With the latter, Honda projects the Fit will get 33 miles per gallon in the city, 41 on the highway and 36 on the combined cycle. Lighter and more refined than the outgoing model's powertrain, the new engine sits in a lighter and more rigid frame as well, which Honda expects will earn it top ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
McLaren pondering Honda-powered 911 killer?
Tue, 21 May 2013As one of the premier sports cars in the world, the Porsche 911 is always driving around with a target on its rear-engined backside. If a new report is to be believed, the latest automaker with plans to build a 911-fighting sports coupe could be McLaren. Motor Trend is reporting that the recent news that Honda and McLaren are teaming up to build Formula One racecars could bear road-going fruit as well.
According to the article, the unnamed entry-level McLaren coupe may be powered by a Honda-sourced engine, but a detuned version of the 3.8-liter V8 from the MP4-12C is said to be more likely. All in, though, there is no solid information on the car just yet. As a reminder, M/T points out that the last time McLaren partnered up with a mainstream automaker, the world was introduced to the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.
Edmunds ranks the best used cars for 2013
Sun, 15 Sep 2013When people ask us what car we would recommend for them, it's usually not easy to answer. To make a useful recommendation we must consider which of the numerous vehicle segments fits their needs best, and then choose one of the many vehicles offered in each segment. For some people, new cars don't meet their expectations of value, because they lose so much of it the moment they are purchased and driven off the dealer lot. For them, there's always the used-car market, where great deals can be found, but cars' histories of reliability and maintenance records - and perhaps that Certified Pre-Owned warranty - become ever-important factors playing into purchase choice.
To help out, Edmunds has done us the favor of assembling a list of the best used vehicles money can buy, covering model years 2006-2011, according to what it considers the most important criteria when shopping for used autos: reliability, safety, value and availability. That means unreliable, unsafe, super-expensive or limited-edition models don't appear on the list, but instead cars from each segment that are more likely to satisfy the general population.
There are some real goodies on the list, including but not limited to vehicles such as the capable Honda Fit, the cultish Honda Accord coupe (which can be had with a 240-horsepower V6 and a six-speed manual transmission some years), and the powerful Chevrolet Corvette. While Edmunds' choice of the Volvo C70 for best used convertible baffled us at first (not that it's a bad car), it redeemed itself by stating that the Mazda MX-5 still is an unofficial top choice if you don't require more than two seats.
