Montague, New Jersey, United States
This is a full size GMC Yukon Denali XL -- is the largest passenger vehicle General Motors produced. The Denali trim level is the top of the line for GMC and includes virtually every option offered. This is the type of vehicle often used by government agencies, the full time all wheel drive makes this truck unstoppable no matter what the weather brings. The stone gray leather seats accommodate 8 passengers when the 3rd row seat is used. With the 3rd row seat unlatched and removed and the both 2nd row seats folded flat a full size 4' x 8' sheet of plywood fits with room to spare. The Denali has a Bose sound system with AM/FM, XM, Cassette, CD and CD Changer. OnStar is fully integrated for emergency assistance and making / receiving phone calls. Highway MPG is 19, local about 14 or 15. In the past two years the truck has had the following work done on it. The transmission was rebuilt, a new water pump, 4 wheel brake job, new tires, new battery, front parts and alignment and the AC serviced.
A quick check of Kelly Blue Book web site shows the value of this truck to be about $8500 in the condition it is in, I am using this as a buy it now price. I also ran their instant offer inspector as if I would accept a cash offer for the truck, this came back at $5180 which is the wholesale value of the truck which I am using as the reserve price. |

GMC Canyon's jump seats innovate to keep kids safe [w/video]
Sat, 03 May 2014We dig simple solutions to problems. There's something highly gratifying about making a minute change to fix something, rather than tearing up the playbook. That's what GMC has done with the new Canyon midsize pickup.
When putting a car seat in, car seat manufacturers require that at least 80 percent of the seat's base fit on the bottom cushion. That's a big problem in extended-cab pickups like the Canyon, which feature jump seats with shorter bottom cushions, in place of the larger, more traditionally designed bench.
The Canyon gets around this with extendable jump seats - simply pop out the headrest and slot it into the bottom seat cushion, and the truck can now easily accommodate a child's seat.
PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]
Wed, 19 Jun 2013PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place. Head over to PickupTrucks.com to read the full evaluation and the final results. You may be shocked to see exactly where some of the segment's newest additions placed. You can also watch a video on the test below.
GM appears to repurpose Saturn Outlook parts on new Acadia
Thu, 09 Feb 2012General Motors unveiled the company's refreshed GMC Acadia at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show yesterday, and if you were paying attention, you may have noticed something curious about the vehicle. While the new Acadia looks considerably better than its predecessor, a few components of the design looked more than a little familiar. Upon closer observation, it appears that GM has simply repurposed elements of the now defunct Saturn Outlook crossover on the 2013 Acadia. Both vehicles seem to share the same wrap-around rear glass, back hatch, tail light openings and exaggerated, squared-off fender arches.
While the vehicles are differentiated by badging, tail lamps and a rear valance, there's no denying the similarities toward the vehicle's rear. Up front, both share similar fenders, though adjustments have been made for the varying headlight designs.
That's good news if you just can't imagine life without the Saturn Outlook.
