Up for sale is my 2011 GMC LML Duramax Diesel. It is a 4x4 regular cab with the duramax engine and allison 6 speed transmission. The truck currently has 23000 miles on it but i add about 10-14 miles a day and it is my daily driver. The truck has a lot of modifications, but none that affect the warranty. Modifications include: Cognito Motorsports Leveling kit with upper A arms and Fox shocks, 285/75 17 Toyo MT tires, A.R.E. Z-series truck cap with roof rack and a matching bed rug bed liner. I also have the cognito steering braces but they have not been installed yet. The front window on the truck cap folds inward for easy cleaning and the two rear windows open up for ventilation if you have animals that ride in the back. The truck now has factory tow mirrors that are not shown in the pictures.
Price new was 42k and i have roughly 7k in modifications. The truck has never had a chip in it due to the dealer being able to read the ecu. With the 285's the truck gets roughly 14-15mpg in stop and go traffic and anywhere from 16-21 on the highway depending on how fast you are going. I have all service records and am running Amsoil fluids front to back. This is my 4th duramax diesel and you will not be disappointed with this truck. I would rate the interior as a 9.5 and the exterior as a 9. There is one tiny scratch behind the tailgate handle that was put there from a shovel falling against it in my garage. Other than the one scratch, there are no dents/dings/blemishes atall. Buy It Now is 32,500. This price is 3k below blue book. The truck is for sale locally and located in Beaufort, SC. Please do not call me trying to help me sell my vehicle. Please email me if you have any questions. |

GMC to get own model not shared with Chevy?
Mon, 20 Jan 2014For years, GMC has existed as a brand without a single unique product, reconstituting Chevrolet trucks, SUVs and crossovers with more frosting in exchange for a few extra dollars. The Sierra is a Silverado, the Acadia a Traverse, and the Terrain an Equinox, although admittedly the latter pair are visually differentiated to a significant degree.
GMC could be set to expand beyond its Chevy-based roots, though. During last week's Detroit Auto Show press days, GM's product boss Mark Reuss was asked whether there'd ever be a GMC that wasn't taken from Chevy. "Oh, yes, you will," Reuss told the media. "The health of GMC is astonishingly good from a consideration standpoint." Reuss wouldn't elaborate on what the model could be, although we're quite happy to make some guesses. GMC has its bases fairly well covered, with a mid-size and full-size crossover, as well as a mid-size, full-size and HD pickup. We doubt GMC will be building a family sedan, sports car, or hatchback, so really, the only place we can see the brand going is into a smaller crossover.
Automotive News points out that the most recent small GMC showcar, the 2010 Granite concept (shown above), won't see production according to General Motors. That vehicle likely would have rode on GM's compact vehicle architecture, known internally as Gamma II, which underpins the Chevy Spark and Sonic, as well as the Buick Encore (and its overseas Opel/Vauxhall/Chevy counterparts).
GM appears to repurpose Saturn Outlook parts on new Acadia
Thu, 09 Feb 2012General Motors unveiled the company's refreshed GMC Acadia at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show yesterday, and if you were paying attention, you may have noticed something curious about the vehicle. While the new Acadia looks considerably better than its predecessor, a few components of the design looked more than a little familiar. Upon closer observation, it appears that GM has simply repurposed elements of the now defunct Saturn Outlook crossover on the 2013 Acadia. Both vehicles seem to share the same wrap-around rear glass, back hatch, tail light openings and exaggerated, squared-off fender arches.
While the vehicles are differentiated by badging, tail lamps and a rear valance, there's no denying the similarities toward the vehicle's rear. Up front, both share similar fenders, though adjustments have been made for the varying headlight designs.
That's good news if you just can't imagine life without the Saturn Outlook.
WI dealer under fire for selling new GMC to dying, blind 89-year-old WWII vet [w/video]
Thu, 14 Mar 2013
You know, people, getting through this life from one end to the other in one piece really does require just one rule: don't be a prick. If you ever find yourself in a situation of dubious moral standing, take a step back and ask yourself, "Am I being a prick to any person or thing?" If the answer is "yes," then stop what you're doing, apologize and go home. One dealership in Wisconsin could possibly have benefitted from that course of action when it reportedly helped David McMurray con his elderly and disabled parents into buying a brand-new $42,000 GMC Terrain for his use.
According to local news reports, a representative from Palmen Motors visited Harold and Christen Thomsen's home to collect signatures for a loan agreement three weeks before the 89-year-old, legally blind Harold passed away. The World War II veteran was on morphine and in hospice when he signed for the GMC, and his 90-year-old wife suffers from dementia. Even so, upon being discovered, the dealer initially said everything was done "legally." According to Barb Tinkler, McMurray's sister, the sale was a scam that remained hidden until he was busted for an unrelated criminal charge.
