North Tonawanda, New York, United States

Up for auction is my 2005 GMC sierra 2500HD. This truck is in overall really good shape. The truck is a 4WD which works great. The 6.0 gas motor runs perfect with no leaks or issues at all and has been very well maintained. The truck shifts great with no issues. The front end is tight with no issues. The body on the truck is in overall good shape it does have a few minor dings and scratches and a small spot of paint bubbling on the bottom of the tailgate which is pictured. The interior is in great shape with no tears or smells and is well equipped with all the options. The AC works great along with the heat and all power options on the truck. The tires were replaced about 6 months ago and still have 75% or better tread remaining on them. The brakes all the way around and shocks were all replaced last summer on the truck. I also had a new interstate battery installed in jan. The bed is in great shape and has been rhino lined and also has a trifold tonneau cover on it. The truck has only been used to haul a 18' car trailer and has never been worked or abused. It has a brake controller in it that will be included with the sale. Back in November before this winter I had a Boss 8'2" RZT V plow installed on it that has only been used to plow my personal driveway and was only used to do that probably 8 times. I had the plow professionally installed and it is done right with all new truck side mounts and wires and also has a handheld controller. The plow works great and is a very nice feature to have if you live in area that you get snow. The truck also has a remote starter on it with keyless entry that is also a great feature in those cold climate areas. If your looking for a great then this is it. The truck has been well maintained and never abused or used for work or heavy hauling. The truck is sold as is with no warranty and buyer must pickup or arrange shipping. A deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours of auction close and the remainder must be paid with 7 days. If you have any other questions feel free to ask and I will get back to you asap.

Watch GM's new pickup crash its way to five-star NHTSA ratings

Thu, 09 Jan 2014

General Motors has just scored a big win with its Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks, acing the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration New Car Assessment Program. The two full-size trucks had already netted a five-star Overall Vehicle Score in their crew-cab variants, but the new testing certifies them as five-star trucks in both regular and double-cab bodystyles, so GM's trucks offer top ratings across the board.
"Our incredibly capable trucks have been engineered to be some of the safest," Gay Kent, GM's general director of Vehicle Safety and Crashworthiness said. "We've designed the vehicle structure, strategically placed high-strength steel and developed the occupant restraint system to achieve high levels of safety performance."
The scores mark the Silverado and Sierra as the first pickups to net five-star scores since NHTSA beefed up their testing regime in 2011, a nice feather in GM's cap as it continues to slug out the pickup truck wars with crosstown rivals Ford and Ram.

GM recalling another 2.7 million vehicles in five separate campaigns

Thu, 15 May 2014

The recalls keep rolling in from General Motors, evidently keen to avoid repeating the mistakes of the ignition-switch debacle and clean house. This time they're all coming at once, with five separate recalls announced together covering approximately 2.7 million vehicles.
The largest of the five actions involves over 2.4 million units of the previous-generation Chevrolet Malibu and Malibu Maxx, Pontiac G6 and Saturn Aura in order to fix brake light wiring harness, which have been found to be susceptible to corrosion. The recall is separate from the 56k Aura sedans which GM recently recalled over faulty shift cables, not to mention the previous massive recall of 1.3 million vehicles - some of them the same models - but appears to have resulted from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation that started with the G6 almost a year ago.
The second-largest campaign involves the 2014 Chevy Malibu, specifically those fitted with GM's 2.5-liter engine and stop/start system, approximately 140,000 examples of which has been found to have problematic brakes. The issue does not appear to be connected to the recall of 8k Malibu and Buick LaCrosse sedans (also involving brake woes) which we reported upon last week. Four crashes have been reported in such models, but GM admits it's not yet clear if the problem was a contributing factor in the accidents.

GM recalls 51k Enclave, Traverse, Acadia crossovers over fuel gauge inaccuracy

Mon, 05 May 2014

With all eyes fixed on General Motors in the wake of the ignition recall debacle, the auto giant has been carefully calling in a wide array of vehicles to fix anything and everything that could prove problematic. Just the other day it issued two separate recalls - one concerning the Cadillac SRX and another its heavy-duty pickups - and now it is issuing another.
This time the vehicles in question are the Buick Enclave, Chevy Traverse and GMC Acadia, three fullsize crossovers based on GM's Lambda platform. In an estimated 51,640 units manufactured between March 26 and August 15, 2013, the engine control module has been found to incorrectly display the level of fuel in the tank.
As a result, owners are being notified to bring their vehicles in to their local dealers to have the ECU reflashed to fix the problem. View the full details in the announcement below from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
