This is a good solid 3/4 ton 4x4. I have owned this truck about 5 years and have rebuilt much of this truck. Selling due to growing family and need to let some toys go.

New brakes front(rotors & pads) & rear(drums & shoes)
New ball joints in front axle
Both differentials drained, inspected, and refilled
New cooling system(radiator & water pump)
New battery & altenator
SM465 4-speed transmission rebuilt
New clutch and rebuilt hydraulics for clutch
NP205 transfer case inspected and resealed
New A/C compressor and dryer, condenser and evaporator flushed - system needs oring and recharging. A/C was working last summer, but have not had time to repair it this year.
Tires have 90% tread
Herculiner liquid bed liner installed
Goose neck hook up and brake box installed
Truck has a 2 -2.5" lift.
Tinted windows and billet grille
350 engine runs good but uses a little oil. I have no idea how many miles are on this engine/truck. I have used it several times to tow a gooseneck loaded with a truck or hay and it pulls fine.
Needs a tailgate - previous owner stored the tailgate in a barn on the ground for several years and it is rusted along the bottom. It still works, but is probably the worst problem with this truck.
Hood needs repainting - has been repainted at some point(doesn't quiet match the rest of the truck) & the clear coat is peeling(see pics).
There are a couple of areas of rust in the right bed side under the paint(see pics with tape measure). They are not too big, but be aware they are there.

GMC boss wants a Jeep Wrangler rival

Wed, 12 Nov 2014

Challengers come and challengers go, but the Jeep Wrangler continues to push forward even after vehicles like the Toyota FJ Cruiser and the entire Hummer brand have been shut down. Now GMC reportedly wants to take a stab at the quintessential Jeep, as well.
The news comes directly from Buick-GMC vice president Duncan Aldred, speaking with our compatriots over at Edmunds. Although Aldred said there are no plans currently on the table to expand GMC's lineup beyond the current range, "there is plenty of room everywhere in the hierarchy."
That could include a rival to the Wrangler, as well as a flagship luxury SUV positioned above the current Yukon Denali (pictured above). Just when (or for that matter, if) such models might come into fruition remains a big question mark, but it's certainly interesting to see what GM's dedicated truck brand has on the drawing board.

GM confirms 2015 Silverado, Sierra to get 8-speed automatic

Fri, 18 Jul 2014

When viewed alongside the next Ford F-150 and the Ram 1500, there is one thing that seems to be missing from the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. Where the F-150 will rely on turbocharging and aluminum architecture and the Ram sports an eight-speed automatic and an air suspension, the General Motors twins lack a big, calling-card feature. They're very good, very refined trucks, but one could argue that they're not terribly innovative.
And while it might not be as flashy a feature as air suspension or a lightweight skin, the Silverado and Sierra will get their own eight-speed automatic for 2015, a transmission that will be paired with the company's Ecotec3 6.2-liter V8. The new cogswapper will also find its way into the GMC Yukon Denali, but for now, there's no indication why the Cadillac Escalade, Suburban, Tahoe and standard Yukon are being left out.
According to GM, the new gearbox is about the same size and weight as the current Hydra-Matic 6L80 six-speed. By the time the new powertrain combination enters production late this year, the EPA will almost certainly have gotten around to certifying the vehicles' fuel efficiency. Until then, feel free to speculate. The current Silverado with the 6.2 and six-speed auto returns 14 miles per gallon in the city and 20 on the highway. How much do you think the eight-speed will improve those figures? Scroll down for the official press blast from General Motors, and then head into Comments.

2015 GMC Canyon gets the party started [w/video]

Sun, 12 Jan 2014

The 2014 Detroit Auto Show press days officially kick off tomorrow, but the night before all the madness commences, General Motors drove its new 2015 GMC Canyon pickup truck out for all to see. To refresh your memory, the Canyon is GMC's new midsize pickup - essentially a re-skinned version of the Chevrolet Colorado that debuted at the LA Auto Show in November.
Many of us at Autoblog prefer the look of the larger GMC Sierra to that of its Chevy Silverado kin, and we're having similar feelings about the new Canyon, especially after seeing it in person. It's sort of a pint-sized version of the Sierra, and it looks great. Clean lines are found throughout, and the Canyon's styling is decidedly premium.
At launch, the Canyon will be offered with the same engines as the Colorado - a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine with 193 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque on the base end, and a larger 3.6-liter V6 with 302 hp and 270 lb-ft as an option. The Colorado's 2.8-liter diesel inline four-cylinder will be available after launch. Both two- and four-wheel drive configurations will be available, depending on the model.
