Very Low Mile Gmc Sierra Z71 4wd Ext Cab. Clean Car Fax on 2040-cars
Houston, Texas, United States
This is a very clean 2002 GMC Truck. I am the third owner. The truck came from Florida. The truck drives and shifts very smooth. Before I purchased it the previous owner had it serviced at a GMC dealer in Orlando on 8/14/2013 with 34,538 miles and they did a full brake job including pads and rotors. They put new calipers on the rear and did a brake fluid flush. They also installed new jounce bushings front and rear, fuel injector flush, tire rotation, new a/c actuator, oil change, new wipers, fuel filter, full inspection and full detail. That all reflects on the carfax. The a/c blows super cold and heater works great. I have installed new Kenwood front door speakers and new kicker rear door speakers. I have replaced the wiper arms with new ones, new daytime running light sockets, bulbs and new light assembly's. I have had the truck professionally buffed and polished. The tires are at least 85%. The 4wd system works great and also engages and disengages properly. It is all stock. I did put in a new K&N air filter. The pictures don't show, but I just put on new bushwacker smooth bed rail guards and have ordered a new bushwacker matching smooth tail gate guard. I put a new weather tech floor mat in the rear with regular rubber mats upfront. Shocks are good. The interior is excellent with no smell, no burns or stains anywhere. Everything operates like new and drives like new. There is a small scratch on the hood that I took a picture of and a tiny ding on the front bumper to the right of the license plate. If you would like to see more pictures or have any questions please contact me @2818271133 and I wil let you know the reserve price. I am very firm on the price. It is financed in my name so the bank has the title. The truck is listed locally so I do have the right to sell it and end the listing.

GM announces 6 recalls covering nearly 720k cars
Wed, 23 Jul 2014General Motors has announced yet another sprawling recall campaign, with six separate elements covering 717,950 vehicles on US roads. At this point in 2014, it's starting to seem like there are more days with a GM recall than without. Perhaps most troubling about this latest volley, though, is that every vehicle is from the past few years, indicating that GM's quality woes may not be limited to pre-bankruptcy vehicles.
The largest element of this latest campaign covers 414,333 units, and includes the 2011 to 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, 2010 to 2012 Chevy Equinox, GMC Terrain and Cadillac SRX and the 2011 to 2012 Buick Regal and LaCrosse. Only vehicles with powered, height-adjustable seats are covered. In these particular cars and crossovers, the bolt that secures the height adjuster actuator may loosen of its own accord and in some cases fall out completely. If this happens, the seats will be able to move both up and down. GM claims the vehicles are safe to drive, provided drivers don't vertically adjust their seats. This particular issue has caused one crash and three injuries.

GM recalling 54k Cadillac SRX, HD pickup models
Thu, 01 May 2014There are more recalls to report General Motors, but these latest actions pertain to newer examples of the Cadillac SRX, Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD. With so much scrutiny on the company's recall strategy, GM is under increasing pressure to call in defective models more quickly, and it appears to be doing so here.
Here in the US, the automaker is recalling 50,571 Cadillac SRX crossovers from the 2013 model year fitted with the 3.6-liter V6 because the transmission control module programming can cause a three- or four-second lag in acceleration at low speeds. The explanation filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration states, "if the following sequence occurs within two seconds: during an upshift from first to second gear (8-10 mph), the driver then brakes the vehicle to less than 5 mph, and then accelerates again," the delay can occur. According to Automotive News, the recall effects 56,400 vehicles worldwide, and the company is not aware of any crashes caused by the problem. The fix consists of a transmission control module (TCM) reflash.
In a separate recall, GM is repairing 51 Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD pickups from the 2015 model year in the US. In vehicles with diesel engines and dual fuel tanks, the nuts that connect the fuel pipe to each side of the transfer pump between the tanks may be improperly torqued, which could cause a fuel leak. Obviously, this could be a fire hazard. The remedy is simply tightening the hardware. According to GM spokesperson Alan Adler, there have been no fires actually caused by the potential leak. "Only 21 of the trucks are in customer possession and they can be fixed anytime because there are no parts involved. The others are being fixed at dealerships," Adler said in an email to Autoblog.
Chevy Silverado edges Ram 1500 in Consumer Reports two-truck shootout
Tue, 17 Sep 2013Forget Corvette versus Viper. When it comes to important head-to-head comparisons, fullsize trucks are where domestic automakers really care. And until the redesigned Ford F-150 makes its debut, the Chevrolet Silverado is going to have plenty to brag about thanks to a new Consumer Reports shootout against the Ram 1500.
It was a tight race among these V8-powered titans, but the all-new 2014 Silverado (and its GMC Sierra twin) barely edged out Ram's updated pickup with a score of 81 points - enough to make it the institute's top-rated fullsize truck on the market. Its narrow victory over the Ram, which finished just three points back, was due to its superior fuel economy, better towing and payload capacity and conveniences like a lower step-in height, easy-to-use tailgate and rear bumper steps that make loading and unloading less of a chore.
Importantly, CR notes that buyers with less heavy-duty truck needs might actually prefer the Ram over the Chevrolet, since its high points include a smoother ride thanks to its coil spring rear suspension, dominant infotainment system with Uconnect, and a big thumbs up for the available Hemi engine and eight-speed automatic transmission.
