THIS IS A 2004 GMC SIERRA 1500 4X4 EXTENDED CAB 4X4. IT IS A 4 DOOR THE EXTENDED CAB DOORS OPEN BACKWARDS ON BOTH SIDES. IT HAS A GREAT RUNNING 5.3 V8 ENGINE. AUTOMATIC TRANNY SHIFTS SMOOTH AND IT HAS THE 4X4 WITH THE LEVER ON THE FLOOR NOT PUSH BUTTON. THE FRONT TWO TIRES WERE NEW ABOUT 8000 MILES AGO AND IT HAD AN ALIGNMENT DONE AT THAT TIME RECIEPT IS IN THE GLOVE BOX. JUST INSTALLED NEW FRONT BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS AND CHANGED OIL ABOUT TWO MONTHS AGO AND NEW REAR BRAKES AND ROTORS 1/26/13. THIS IS A GREAT RUNNING AND DRIVING TRUCK THAT MECHAINCALLY IN GREAT SHAPE. AS STATED THE FRONT TIRES ARE COOPERS AND THEY WERE NEW 8K MILES AGO. THE REARS ARE STILL IN DECENT SHAPE.
THE TRUCK DOES HAVE SOME NICKS AND DING MAINLY ALONG THE TOP OF THE BED RAIL ON THE PASSENGERS SIDE. AND SOME MINOR DAMAGE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE EXTEND CAB DOOR AND BEDSIDE IN FRONT OF THE TIRE DOWN NEAR THE BOTTOM I THINK MOST OF IT COULD BE TAKEN OUT WITHOUT PAINTING IT IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND THE ROCKERS SHOW A LITTLE SURFACE RUST. COULD EASILY BE CLEANED UP NOT BAD YET.
ALL I CAN SAY IS ITS A GREAT RUNNING TRUCK THAT DRIVES DOWN THE ROAD REAL NICE. IT DOES HAVE THE FACTORY TOW PACKAGE.

GM to unveil new SUVs at the State Fair of Texas?
Wed, 07 Aug 2013With General Motors just having rolled out its new fullsize truck twins - the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra - for 2014, now it seems to be time to focus on its big SUVs. The Truth About Cars is reporting that the 2015 Chevy Tahoe/Suburban and 2015 GMC Yukon lineup will be making their debuts later next month at the State Fair of Texas, which kicks off on September 27.
To date, we've only seen spy shots of the new Chevy and GMC SUVs (shown above in Yukon XL guise). Based on those spies both trucks seem to be taking a different styling direction than their pickup truck counterparts - just check out the Ford-looking headlight design on the next-gen Chevys.
We reached out to GM for comment and heard back simply that there is no official announcement about the new Tahoe, Suburban and Yukon. Still, the report definitely makes a solid leap of logic, as Texas is a top market for GM's fullsize SUV lineup. It also appears that GM is still planning a separate launch for the next-gen Cadillac Escalade.
GM expanding Lansing Lambda CUV plant
Thu, 30 Oct 2014Considering that crossovers are a rapidly growing portion of the US auto market, it's not surprising to hear that General Motors is preparing to build even more of them. The company is investing $63 million to expand its Lansing Delta Township Assembly plant that builds Lambda platform CUVs like the Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave.
According to GM, the expansion will add roughly 263,000 extra square feet of space to the plant. Of that, 181,000 square feet will be for an updated body shop with cutting-edge robots. There will also be 54,000 square feet of additional room in the paint shop and 28,000 square feet of more area for general assembly.
GM isn't saying as much, but there is the possibility that this extra space could allow for additional models produced at the factory. Cadillac reportedly dropped plans to build a three-row SUV on the Lambda platform earlier this year, however, dealers for the luxury brand were recently pitched the possibility of adding large and small CUVs, an ATS convertible or a sedan below the ATS.
Diesel Power finds the ultimate modified oil-burner
Sat, 24 Aug 2013For nine years, Diesel Power magazine has run the Diesel Power Challenge, this year's grindfest being "a week-long torture test that features seven events, nine trucks, 8,000 horsepower, and nearly 15,000 pound-feet of torque." The road to being crowned "the most powerful truck" starts with a dyno run, and then continues through the completion of a CDL-style obstacle course, an eighth-of-a-mile drag race while towing a 10,000-pound trailer, a quarter-mile drag race without a trailer, a fuel economy test in the mountains and finally a sled-pulling test through a 300-foot-long packed-mud pit.
What kind of trucks get into such a fight? Last year's winner, for instance - who upgraded his truck this year to prove he didn't "luck into the win" - drives a 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty with a 6.4-liter Power Stroke V8 upgraded with a custom intake, Elite Diesel triple turbos and a two-stage nitrous system. Another competitor has a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 powered by a 5.9-liter Cummins inline-six, upgraded with Garrett turbos, dual-stage nitrous, a seven-inch exhaust stack and twin fans built into the bed to cool the Sun Coast Omega transmission. The numbers on that truck: 1,255 horsepower, and 2,063 pound-feet of torque at the wheels. Naturally, as the image above might suggest, things don't always end well.
You'll find all five videos covering this years challenge below. A scene in the dyno video sums it all up perfectly: a competitor leaves his nitrous on too long and the crew is treated to some ominous poppings, he leans out the window, throws both hands up and shouts, "Amer'ca!"
