This was a dealership "program car." It was being driven by the CEO & had 11,000 miles. I am the only owner. This is the best car I've ever had and that says a lot considering I've had two Honda Accords which were great cars. The only reason I am selling it is because we acquired a third vehicle through a death in the family. As you can see from the pictures, car is in excellent condition. Nothing has ever gone wrong, everything works, ice cold AC. Car has been serviced every 3000 miles with oil & filter changes and fuel and air filters when required. I've replaced the serpentine belt within the past year. All scheduled maintenance has been performed - radiator flushes, transmission flushes, fuel injector flushes, power steering, brake fluids, etc.. Today (6/15), I replaced the brake pads and rear brake cylinders at a cost of $400. Tires have about 5,000 miles, battery is six months old, just replaced the wipers.

By the way, the middle console can be folded up to create a bench seat for 3 passengers. I don't think there are any dings on the car. The left front headlight plexiglass cover has some scratches but that's about it. The aluminum wheels are beginning to show wear. Car has traction control, full perimeter security system, remote controls (2). Digital display shows outside temperature, miles to empty, mpg average, compass heading and full system check. I am including the XM/Sirius Satellite receiver with the sale. Probably 90 percent of the mileage are highway miles in Texas. Kelly blue book shows the value at $4500.

Ford open to diesel, hybrid or electric Mustang? [w/poll]

Sun, 08 Dec 2013

The Ford Mustang may not be the first vehicle that comes to mind when you think of environmentally-friendly forms of transportation. The arrival of the turbocharged four-cylinder engine in the new Mustang could do a lot to combat that perception, but the EcoBoost engine may just be the tip of the iceberg in that regard.
Speaking with Ford powertrain boss Bob Fascetti at the reveal of the new Mustang in Australia, GoAuto reports that the Blue Oval automaker is considering offering its latest pony car with a diesel, hybrid or even electric powertrain in the future.
"We're not looking at diesel at the moment, but given where we need to go with fuel consumption we are looking at all our options," said Fascetti. Other options could include a nine- or ten-speed automatic transmission to replace the current six-speed unit in order to help improve fuel economy and emissions for the Mustang, although figures for the current lineup have yet to be revealed.

2013 Shelby 1000 unleashes its 1,200 horsepower ahead of NY show reveal

Fri, 22 Mar 2013

True story: Last fall, I had the opportunity to spend a week with Ford's new 2013 Shelby GT500 - the Blue Oval's factory Mustang with 662 horsepower and 631 pound-feet of torque. It's an amazing beast, to be sure. I'm not sure if it was Michigan's damp streets strewn with potholes and wet leaves, but at no point did I ever say to myself, "You know, Ford is on to a really good thing here, but what it really needs is about twice the power." And yet, for people in warmer climes with infrastructure in better nick - or for those whose muscle cars live their lives out on the track, there's apparently sufficient demand to warrant just such a beast.
Quick studies will recall that Shelby American launched its 1000 last year to commemorate its 50th anniversary, but it is returning to the New York Auto Show with a fresh version based on the 2013 GT500 I drove. The 2013 Shelby 1000 whips up 1,200 horsepower on pump gas thanks to beefed-up forced induction, engine internals and cooling. Wisely, it also incorporates an adjustable suspension and big brake package to make sure those ponies have the best chance being safely deployed to the ground.
What price the world's most powerful "production" muscle car? $154,995 for starters - donor GT500 not included. What, no convertible variant?
