2002 Ford Taurus Sel 146k Sunroof Leather ***no Reserve*** on 2040-cars
Marietta, Minnesota, United States
A very nice 02 Ford Taurus that runs and drives as good as it looks. Loaded with every option available including Sunroof, Leather, Console and power everything. Also has a LoJack alarm system and a factory 6 disc CD player. This Taurus came from California and is rust free. Was owned by a lady driver and looked after well. All services up to date and a clear MN title in my name. This car was donated to the "Make-A-Wish" Foundation and I purchased it from them. The car runs and drives very well. Has a new battery, does not burn oil, runs very quite, shifts when its supposed to and there are no strange clunking noises. The only issues I have found with the car is a small dent under the mirror on the drivers door, a few normal scratches here and there, and a cracked windshield. The car could also use a good cleaning and a couple of front tires. Please check out the Autocheck as this car rates very high. Car is used and being sold as-is with the buyer responsible for picking up or shipping. Local delivery available up to 500 miles from 56257 at a buck a mile. For more information please call or text me (Matt) at 320-413-0129 |

Ford Focus Electric and ST recalled over lighting issue
Mon, 12 Aug 2013Ford is recalling 6,308 units of the 2012 and 2013 Focus Electric and 2013 Focus ST that were fitted with HID headlights because a "wiring incompatibility" could keep the front side marker lights from working. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the recall should begin in the middle of this month, after which owners can take their cars to dealers to have the wiring assembly repaired free of charge.
You can find more information in the NHTSA bulletin posted below.
This Or That: Fiat 500 Abarth vs. Ford Fiesta ST [w/poll]

They're pretty darn similar. And yet our views are oh so different.
If you guys could read the transcripts of our editors' chat room, you'd know that we're a pretty argumentative bunch. It's always good-spirited stuff (well, usually), but when we're not obsessively covering this or that, we're usually fighting about one car being better than another. We're all enthusiasts here, and our automotive tastes run the gamut from the weird and unusual to the decidedly mainstream - we all feel strongly about specific cars in a given segment. While it usually makes for good conversation, if we're passionate enough, it can turn into a tomato-throwing showdown.
Subprime financing on the rise in new car sales, leasing too
Fri, 07 Dec 2012We all remember the financial crisis that began several years back. At its core was a splurge of subprime lending for housing loans. The housing bubble burst, triggering a collapse of the mortgage-backed securities market. Apparently, those types of loans still exist in the automotive industry, and the market share for these types of "nonprime, subprime, and deep subprime," loans has grown 13.6 percent compared to the third quarter a year ago.
According to an Automotive News report, high-risk lending expanded to 24.8 percent of total loans in Q3, up from 21.9 percent for this time last year. As this level increased, average credit scores of borrowers dropped to 755, down from 763 a year ago. In that time, the average financing amount increased $90 per vehicle, to $25,963.
At 818, Volvo maintains the highest per-owner credit score, while Mitsubishi has the lowest, at 694. The highest rate of borrowers was at Toyota, with 14 percent of the market, followed by Ford with 13.1 percent and Chevrolet at 11.1.
