One Owner 1987 Ford Ranger Xlt Only 99k Original Miles 2.9l V6 Automatic Ac on 2040-cars
Ashland, Oregon, United States
The body of this truck is very straight, no dents and no dings. The paint shines and looks great, however the blue portion is starting to oxidize, please see pictures. No Rust, Oregon truck since day one, also the original owner had the entire truck undercoated at the dealer when it was brand new!! This Ranger was bought brand new at Butler Ford, here in Ashland, OR! There are some very minor and superficial scratches, blemishes and rock chips in the paint/clear coat, expected for the age of the vehicle. Also, there are two scratches on the passenger side bed, above the rear wheel and towards the tail light and the hood has a few spots where the paint has chipped off, please see pictures. The inside of the bed is in excellent shape, no major scratches and no dents, please see pictures! The canopy has been on the truck since new! Also, this truck has never towed anything! This truck is all original, never wrecked and never painted! The motor starts and runs great!! The automatic transmission shifts good, just serviced with fresh fluid&filter!! This Ranger has been well maintained and always serviced on time!! The motor was just serviced, a fresh engine oil&filter service, fresh fuel and air filters installed, new spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, rotar as well as a newer muffler and tail pipe!! All 4 tires are matching, Dean Alpha Season Radial steel belt size P195/75R14 m/s, all mounted on factory wheels. The tires are old and should be replaced in the near future, we wanted to leave that up to the new owner. This Ford Ranger runs and drives great with only 99K original miles!! |

Ford readying Ranger-based Everest SUV?
Fri, 21 Feb 2014Way back in August, we showed you a Ford concept for the Australian market called the Everest. Now, we can show you that work on the new Ranger-based SUV is well under way.
At this stage, it's still quite clearly a mule (note the misalignment of the front and rear doors), wearing the Ranger's front end and the rump of Ford's overseas Territory crossover. The wheelbase is shorter than a Ranger, according to our spy photographers, which strikes us as somewhat odd for a more passenger-oriented vehicle. Disc brakes should be fitted at all four corners, while the new SUV, which will almost certainly wear the Everest name, should sport a new rear suspension.
In terms of looks, we're expecting the Everest Concept to inform the appearance of the production model. Naturally, there will also be some interior tweaks, particularly around the dashboard, which is covered in these photos.

Unrestored 1969 Shelby GT500 one of many classic barn finds going to auction
Wed, 19 Mar 2014We love a good barn find here at Autoblog. We like that there's a palpable excitement and sense of mystery surrounding barn finds. Each case has its own uniqueness to it, and this latest discovery is no different: an unrestored, one-owner 1969 Shelby GT500 with just 8,531 miles on it.
In the case of this particular barn find, many of the typical questions have already been answered. For example, we know who owned it - his name was Larry Brown. He recently passed away, and as he had no wife or children to inherit the estate, the car he purchased at Pennsylvania Ford dealer in May of 1969, will be auctioned off by Ron Gilligan Auctioneers.
The car was fastidiously maintained, having never been driven in the rain. In fact, Brown never even washed it, out of fear of it rusting. According to the auction website, the last time this car saw water was probably when it was detailed ahead of being delivered to Brown. If that doesn't sound like a fanatical sense of maintenance on the part of this GT500's owner, this next part will. The interior has been treated to a similarly painstaking attempt at preservation, with garbage bags covering the seats and two layers of floor mats over the carpets. The result is a car that, aesthetically, is in remarkable shape considering it's spent so long in a barn.
