You are bidding on a 1975 Ford Ranchero GT.
Mileage: 82,743 Vin # 5A48S133904 Body: 97R Colour: 3G Trim: EB Trans: U Axle: 6 DSD: 84 My friend had purchased this car from the original owner in early 1976 and has owned the car up until I bought it two weeks ago. The car is completely original with original mileage and is overall very solid. The car has always been stored indoors that's why the paint is in good shape with no sun damage to the dash pad or upholstery. 2 years ago mice had gotten into the glove box and nested, the dash was taken apart and cleaned of any evidence of mice. On the driver side seat, center panel has split and will need to be replaced as well as the side panel on the backrest. I took it for a drive and she drives fine but it will need a new exhaust and tailpipe, also it may need a new manifold gasket on the right-hand side, It's hard to tell because of the noise without exhaust &muffler. She has normal surface rust underneath. I purchased this car from him to help him out of a financial situation, but my particular interest in these cars is Chrysler products of the fin era 1956 to 1961 so that's why this Ranchero is for sale. If shipping and customs clearances are required I can arrange that. My name is Jim Higham and can be reached at 204-997-4636 please call me if you have any questions or require more pictures. |

Ford announces four recalls, 1.4M vehicles affected
Thu, 29 May 2014Ford is taking a bit of the spotlight away from General Motors, announcing a major group of recall campaigns, covering a total of 1.4 million vehicles built between 2006 and 2013.
Let's start with the big one, which covers the Ford Escape, Mercury Mariner and, according to The Detroit News, Ford-built Mazda Tribute CUVs. 915,216 vehicles are covered, all of which were built in model years 2008 to 2011. 736,000 vehicles are in the US, while Canada then Mexico make up the vast majority of the remainder. The problem is due to an issue with the torque sensor in the steering column, which could lead to sudden power steering failure. Manual steering would still be available, though.
"Dealers will perform one of three service fixes, depending upon what diagnostic codes are shown when the vehicle is taken to the dealer," Ford spokeswoman Kelli Felker wrote to Autoblog in an email. "They will either update software for the power steering control module and the instrument cluster module; replace the torque sensor; or replace the steering column, which includes upgraded power steering control module software."
Ford finally issues recall for 230K minivans over rust problems
Sun, 10 Mar 2013The rust issue in the rear wheel wells of 2004-2007 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans has finally led to a recall. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration began an investigation into the matter in 2011, said investigation being upgraded to an engineering analysis a year later while NHTSA tried to figure out how many model years should be included in the assessment.
Ford has decided to recall all of the 230,000 minivans potentially affected, namely those sold in salt-belt states and countries like Canada. The excess rust in the rear wheel wells was also able to prevent the third-row seats from locking to the floor of the minivan. To repair the problem, owners can take their minivans to dealers, and the dealers will place new panels in the wheel wells, replace the third-row seat mounting brackets and relocate the latches to an area away from any corrosion.
Ford says it will begin notifying owners during the last week of March.
Ford reports 58% drop in Q2 profits on European losses
Wed, 25 Jul 2012
Ford Motor Company announced Wednesday that it has posted a $1 billion profit for the second quarter of 2012. That sounds like good news for the Blue Oval, until you take into account that Ford posted a $2.4 billion profit for Q2 a year ago. That is a substantial 58 percent loss.
Ford also posted $465 million in international losses, with $404 million of those losses coming directly from Europe. The automaker also increased its European loss projections to $1 billion for 2012, due in large part to the economic crisis overseas, which has resulted in increased unemployment and decreased consumer confidence.
