this was my very good friend who passed a few yrs back and his daughter and her ole man was going to restore it but then husband got sick and was sold to me,i have to many irons in the fire wish i was able to to something with this but not going to have the time so i pass this on with the hopes a true motor head buys this, like our good friend " pop's " was and they will keep pumping life in to her. she is very fast and loud very cool to drive, it all opens and closes, sits proud with her ass up high front down low,old school looking hot rod style, wish it had the hood scoop on it , a nice two tone blue and white with side pipes, limo tint and a hard hitting system to listen to while running triple digits down these long arizona highways. my dream but ole lady says wake up and get her sold..? so bid confident cause she needs to go but i will not give it away that we agreed upon. really is a neat ride never liked them when i was younger but as i see all the cars of my past get way out of price range i start looking at some of the other things out there and find stuff like this that really does have cool lines and very few made and can be made to flip heads and snap your butt back in the seat when you hit the gas. need info please ask, trades could be possible like 4x4 quads, guns, serious pit bull blood line pup with heritage to back it up you know who you are so only real land sharks??? the wife might trip out but she can always use a good stirring up now and again. winner $500 paypal within 24hrs, 3 days full payment cleared tit le will be mailed two day priority signature mail. picked up within 2 weeks unless other arrangements are made. shipping is winners responsibility i will assist loading p.s. i have been knowing this car for 9yrs and the while time it was always running or being upgraded with high end parts in the mtr and transmission along with the axel/rearend. this old cat was a real gear head who worked on mining equipment 40yrs on days off built motors with blowers for cars, trucks, boats, sand rails and even a bike. he has a very good reputation in our town of being the one to go to for speed and hard fixes. this turned more in to a story but, i feel that this was his last one to go,all the others were sold at high end auctions or given to members of the family, this man had over 40 cars, boats, trucks, and bikes even some off the wall unnamed crazy, could kill you if you tried to ride it stuff.

Consumer Reports: Ford Fusion fun but flawed; Mitsubishi i-MiEV slow, chintzy [w/videos]
Wed, 23 Jan 2013Waiting for a Ford compliment from Consumer Reports these days is like waiting for a low-cost new product from Apple. So we weren't really expecting a glowing review of the 2013 Ford Fusion when CR got its hands on the car. The institute's crew bought three different versions of the Fusion (Hybrid, 1.6-liter EcoBoost and a Titanium with the 2.0-liter EcoBoost) to put through its barrage of tests, and while we aren't too surprised by some of the findings, they're still interesting nonetheless.
CR praises the Fusion for its "eye-catching" design and says that the sportier Titanium trim level is the best-handling midsize sedan they've ever tested, but that's about where the good news ends for Ford. The Fusion Hybrid also posted the best-ever fuel economy CR has recorded in a midsize sedan, but the only problem is that their number was 39 miles per gallon combined - far less than Ford's 47 mpg rating for city, highway and combined. As expected, CR also dinged the Fusion for its MyFord Touch, but some of the other gripes about the car include a cramped cabin and poor fit and finish.
Other Ford products tested this time around include the Focus Electric and C-Max Hybrid. Like the Fusion, CR's observed fuel economy of 37 mpg for the C-Max fell well short of Ford's advertised 47-mpg rating, and both cars were criticized for the use of MyFord Touch. CR notes that the Focus Electric's interior is also cramped, with the battery pack taking up a lot of cargo space.
Ford to update Sync, MyFord Touch software... again
Wed, 07 Aug 2013Ford hasn't had the best luck with its MyFord Touch and Sync systems, as the finicky infotainment system has been subject to a critical whooping while customer issues have helped sink Ford's IQS scores. The automaker has made a concerted effort, though, to try and fix MyFord Touch. And while the results have been mixed, The Blue Oval is hoping its latest free update, set to go live next week, will make things better.
According to a report from The Detroit News, the new system promises streamlined voice commands with fewer levels between opening query and actual result. Ford is also addressing where certain options are selected on the touchscreen. Rather than working one of the four quadrants on the homescreen, users will be able to select anywhere within the quadrant to make adjustments.
While it might only be a band-aid for MFT's problems, the fact that Ford is still trying to improve it is a promising sign. It's going to take more than just this update to address the system's ills, though.
Ford Australia reveals updated Territory, Falcon via Twitter
Mon, 28 Jul 2014Ford may have tied together much of its global lineup under the One Ford campaign, but one market where it still offers unique products is Australia. That will soon draw to a close as well, but before it does, the Blue Oval's Aussie operations are rolling out refreshed versions of its two unique products. For the moment, Ford isn't revealing much in the way of powertrain details, but it has shown off a couple of snaps of the revised products on its in-market Twitter feed.
First up is the new Territory. The SUV is neither based on a front-drive crossover platform nor on a truck frame, but shares its rear-drive underpinnings with the Falcon, taking it a step beyond the Falcon wagon alongside which it sits in Ford's Aussie range. Like the outgoing third-generation SZ Territory, the facelifted version is dominated by a narrow grille and larger front air dam, but further punctuates its big-chinned look with more rugged lower cladding and other metallic inserts that bring its look up to date.
And there's the Falcon, which Ford revealed in XR8 trim just last week and is now presenting in G6E spec. If the XR8 is the performance model, the G6E is the luxury version, swapping in more refined trim like a chrome-slat grille (instead of a black honeycomb), chrome foglamp surrounds, less-aggressive multi-spoke wheels (instead of five-spokes) and a flatter hood (instead of a power bulge). Otherwise, it looks essentially the same as the one we saw last week, its facelift bringing it more in line with the smaller, front-drive Mondeo (which we know here as the Fusion) and other members of the Ford family.
