Hello and thanks for looking at a VERY Rare 1958 Ford Ranchero Body Only. The Ranchero does not have Motor or Transmission. It Needs totally Restored. The Ranchero came from Factory with Rare Power Steering and Factory Power Brakes.. The Ranchero has a Gold Badge on the Glove Box that states Interceptor Special and I was told these cars came with the 352 cubic inch police interceptor. I don't know this so please do your own research. I have all the Stainless Trim for the truck and it is all in good shape with a few dings that can easily be fixed and polished out. The truck has Rust in the rear quarters and floor Boards and maybe Rockers and some other places.  The Seat that is in pictures goes with the truck and came out of it. The Glass seems to all be in good shape and the Hood Raises and closes like it should. I took pictures of the Brake Booster and power steering Pump and all the power Steering Equipment is there and still hooked up. This is really a nice car that needs a Ford person to put back on the road.  Please look at the pictures and ask questions and I will go look at whatever and answer back. I also have the keys and clear title for this truck and the Dash is Really nice and has not been Butchered up. I also have another Rare 1958 Ranchero in about the same shape as this one so if anyone is interested I will sell both but this auction is for only the car that is listed. This car has rust but is very restorable and needs to be rebuilt.  Again Thanks for your time looking at this ad and for any Questions or pictures please call Bobby @ 423-956--4918 or Email

2015 Ford F-150 specs revealed, EcoBoost 2.7L to make 325 hp and 375 lb-ft [w/video]

Tue, 22 Jul 2014

Our new man Greg Migliore is in attendance at a Ford media event at the Blue Oval's Dearborn, MI headquarters today, and he's reported in with a handful of the 2015 F-150 stats that we've been dying to know. Ford is slow-playing the news release here, but we can still offer up some interesting output and performance figures after half-year of waiting.
We have all be quite aware that Ford's shift to aluminum construction would save a lot of weight for F-150 models, and the results we're hearing now are duly impressive. For instance: in Super Crew trim, a 2015 F-150 is a whopping 732-pounds lighter than was its closest 2014-model-year equivalent. That's like hauling three middle-aged dudes to your bowling alley's league night for free. Polish your balls, guys.
Ford isn't willing to offer up any actual curb weights just yet, but if we take that 732-pound loss and extrapolate with the 5,128-pound curb weight of the 2014 F-150 Super Crew with the 3.7-liter V6, we can guesstimate that 2015 models will measure out in the 4,400-pound range. That's impressive.

These cars are headed to the Great Crusher In The Sky

Fri, 24 Aug 2012

It happens every year. We bid adieu to some cars and trucks that will be missed, and say good riddance to others wondering how they stayed around so long. Whether they're being killed off for slow sales or due to a new product coming along to replace them, the list of vehicles being discontinued after 2012 is surprisingly long and diverse.
CNN Money has compiled a list of departing vehicles, to which we've added a few more of our own. In the slow sales column, cars like the Lexus HS 250h, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and the full Maybach lineup appear, while the Ford Escape Hybrid, Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Veracruz are all having their gaps filled with more modern and more fuel-efficient alternatives. Obvious exceptions to the rule include models that still sell in decent numbers like the Jeep Liberty and the Chrysler Town & Country (which will eventually be replaced by a crossover-like vehicle).
Check out our gallery of discontinued cars above, then scroll down for more information.

Ford E-Series chassis cabs and cutaways to survive mass Transit onslaught

Fri, 18 Apr 2014

In March 2013, Ford announced we'd be getting chassis cab and cutaway versions of the Transit. Since incoming Transit vans will soon be rolling over the grave of the E-Series van, it was assumed that all E-Series models would go six feet under as well. According to a report from PickupTrucks.com, however, that's not the case, the report claiming that the highly modifiable E-350 and E-450 chassis cab and cutaway versions will continue being produced in Avon Lake, Ohio "at least until 2020."
Being decades old, the be-cabbed E-Series platform has found its way under an army of heavy-duty shuttle buses, work truck and ambulances. Ford spokeswoman Jessica Enoch verified the production horizon, telling Autoblog that the particular E-Series configuration "are a higher GVWR than the Transit chassis cab and cutaway (available this summer), which is more Class 2 and a new segment for us." So there you have it.
