Cute as a button 1934 Ford all-steel pick-up truck. This truck has a "the look" and is turn-key. You can get in and drive this classic for everyday transportation if you elect to do so. It was built by a premier builder in Southern California and has a V6 engine with approximately 10k miles on it. It has an automatic transmission with 3 speeds and has a Lokar shifter. This vehicle runs great at freeway speeds and gets 30 miles per gallon. This truck turns more heads than Pamela Anderson in a swimsuit. This vehicle starts, runs, stops, and turns wonderfully. The interior is also done to a very high standard. As depicted in the photos, the upholstery is very plush with all the gage's are running perfectly: including wipers, the emergency brake, the stereo, and the roll-out windshield. The dashboard has an artistic thin pin-striping that looks phenomenal. Additionally, the carpet and headliner are brand new.

The paint was done 9 years ago and has held up very well. It still has a great shine but has a few nicks and scratches that can be expected from normal usage. The paint is a solid 7/10 and shows well. The chrome on both bumpers, both headlights, headlight bar, tailgate straps, and interior is in good shape. The tires have good tread, but the rear 2 are starting to crack and will most likely need replacement in the near-future.

The pictures should tell this classic's story. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call. My name is Bob and my number is (949) 874 8222. You will not be disappointed in this car. I will give the buyer a parking lot guarantee: If you feel this vehicle is not as described I will refund your money no questions asked. I do reserve the right to sell this vehicle early, as I have it advertised locally as well. Feel free to call if you have an offer.

Thieves still love older Hondas and pickups most, says NICB [w/video]

Wed, 20 Aug 2014

No one wants to have their car stolen, but a new study by the National Insurance Crime Bureau has some bad news for older Honda owners and pickup drivers. Fortunately, it has better news for drivers overall. The group is reporting that according to preliminary data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, thefts were down 3.2 percent in 2013 (versus 2012) to fewer than 700,000 cars. That's the lowest figure since 1967. That's also less than half of the peak of over 1.66 million thefts in 1991. "The drop in thefts is good news for all of us," says NICB President and CEO Joe Wehrle. "But it still amounts to a vehicle being stolen every 45 seconds and losses of over $4 billion a year."
Honda drivers might not find it such good news with older Accord and Civic models topping this year's theft study. Toyota and Dodge can't really celebrate, either, with two models each on the list, as well. Overall, this year's list was split evenly between foreign and domestic models, which were mostly pickups.
The 10 most likely vehicles to be stolen in 2013 were:

Martin Smith retires, Joel Piaskowski in as Ford Europe design chief

Thu, 29 May 2014

The mind behind the look of much of the modern Ford global range is retiring. Martin Smith, Head of Ford Design in Europe, will give up his position on July 1 and will leave the company altogether at the end of the year. He will be replaced by current Strategic Concepts Group leader Joel Piaskowski (pictured above).
Smith has led Ford of Europe design for the past 10 years, and he was partially responsible for the brand's Kinetic Design language with a large grille and swept-back headlights found on the Focus, Fiesta and C-Max, as well as several other vehicles abroad. After stepping down on July 1 until his retirement at the end of 2014, Smith will work on a project to decide the future direction of the company's look with Moray Callum, its vice president of design.
Piaskowski already has some impressive credentials in terms of automotive design as well. He joined Ford in 2010 as director of exterior design and led the teams responsible for the 2015 Ford Mustang and next-generation F-150. He was also previously design director at Ford Asia Pacific. Before working at the Blue Oval, Piaskowski held positions at Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai and General Motors. Scroll down to read the complete announcement of this changing of the guard.

Ken Block is at it again in Gymkhana 6

Mon, 11 Nov 2013

If there's one thing we'll say about Ken Block and his latest installment in the Gymkhana family, it's that it's far more structured than previous videos, but that doesn't mean it skimps on the entertainment. Block is on a purpose-built course which was touted as "The... Ultimate... Gymkhana... Grid... Course" in last week's preview. Unlike Gymkhana 5, which took placed on closed streets in San Francisco, this course seems much more compact.
Block has an entire array of challenges to tackle in his 650-horsepower Ford Fiesta ST, and none of them look particularly easy. In fact, we'd argue that Gymkhana 6's grid course requires much more precise driving that previous titles. There are Segways, Lamborghinis and massive pieces of construction equipment that all must be dealt with.
We've got the entire 6:28 of Gymkhana madness for you down below. Scroll down for the video and then hit Comments and let us know how this installment compares to previous Block works.
