RETIRED SHOW CAR

I purchased this car on 09/15/2007 for my son who was 15 at the time. Mileage at the time of purchase was 31,321.
I have several show cars and wanted my son to have his own show car. After purchase we spent the winter of 2007 / 2008 preparing the car for 2008 show season. My son turned 16 in April of 08 his first show was the All Ford Nationals in Carlisle, Pa. where he brought home a first place finish with the car. Next was the Mustang Club of America International show in Canada where again it brought home a first place finish. It was also chosen for photo shoot and was featured in the MCA Mustang Times with a four page story about the car. Last show of 2008 was the U. S. Mustang National Show in Ohio where it again won top honors with a first place finish.

Since then the car has been limited use to local shows and cruise in`s always showing well and bring home trophy's. It was chosen in 2011 as the April calendar car for Mustang Club of America featured in their national calendar.

Fast forward to today my son is 21 and he wants a show car with more POWER. So I began a search for a Sonic Blue GT Mustang to replace the V6 car. But I am very particular as I was looking for another dedicated show car. I have found a low mileage GT so now the V6 is for sale. Now for where the car is today..

First off this car has not seen rain since 2007. It is near perfect inside, outside, under the hood and undercarriage.
I have remover all of the exterior bolt on`s that were on the car. The only left on is the Mach 1 stripes which I can remove if the new owner is not interested in keeping them.
I did replace the V6 front bumper cover and grill with a GT front bumper cover and grill so it now has fog lamps which look cool.
As you can tell by the mileage 41,525 the car was driven less than 10,000 miles in six years on sunny days only.
It does have four new tires on the premium cast 15" wheels with wheel locks.
You are looking at a real cream puff never race only used for show.

I also included a picture of the car with all the show parts.

Good luck and feel free to ask any questions.

On Oct-07-13 at 17:01:24 PDT, seller added the following information:

I added a few more photos of the show days. We had a great time with it and as you can see we took great care before hitting the road to insure the car was chip free when we got to shows. This car has been waxed more times than you can imagine.

Ford ST Octane Academy [w/video]

Wed, 04 Jun 2014

The ST school is about more than just handbrake turns, hot laps, and sliding into parking spaces.
I felt like such a rock star. On my second pass around the UrbanCross course (read: fancy autocross) at the Ford ST Octane Academy, I absolutely nailed the exit, sliding the bright-yellow Focus ST sideways into a box the size of a parking space, all four wheels in line.

Ford EcoBoost successful because of Soviet laser weapons system expert?

Sun, 28 Jul 2013

Mike Kluzner is a man of many talents. Not only is he the software engineer responsible for fuel system diagnostics for Ford globally, he "got his start designing laser weapon systems capable of disabling the navigation systems of enemy satellites" for the former Soviet Union. Quite a résumé, wouldn't you say?
You may be asking yourself the same question that popped into our minds upon reading about Mr. Kluzner: What do laser weapon systems have to do with Ford and its EcoBoost engines? We'll let the man answer himself. "The same process for analyzing key physical relationships works for what we do today in engine combustion, catalyst chemistry and mechanics," says Kluzner. "These are all part of Ford's software engineering expertise." Who are we to argue?
Ford also employs an engineer who previously designed software to detect damage to the heat tiles on the International Space Station, as well as one who's past work involved particle physics, says the automaker in the press release below. David Bell (pictured above right), global boost system controls engineer for Ford, describes the software running EcoBoost as "the secret sauce" that makes the technology work as the driver intends and demands.

Ford bringing production F-150 to Detroit with Atlas styling and Alcoa blast shields

Fri, 27 Dec 2013

According to a report in Bloomberg, the 2015 Ford F-150 will indeed be showing up at the Detroit Auto Show next month. It will bring attitude with it, not only in the form of sheetmetal inspired by the Atlas concept (pictured) that appeared at the 2013 Detroit show but also in the Alcoa military blast shields among the display being used to showcase the ruggedness of aluminum.
There's been a lot of talk about the F-150 switching to aluminum body panels (although maintaining a steel frame), and for good reason. The lightweight body is expected to shed more than 700 pounds and greatly increase its highway mileage, but production-line issues and possible delays have been a major focus of attention concerning the best-selling vehicle in America for 32 years, meaning Ford has to get it right. F-150 is responsible for a massive portion of the company's global profits and it will come in a year when company profits are already predicted to decline because of new car launches.
When it comes to dings, the Bloomberg story says Ford wants Alcoa to supply some of the military-grade aluminum it uses for blast shields on battlefield vehicles to help it talk up the toughness of aluminum. Reading commentary on the many stories about the F-150 reveals there are many more little questions about the aluminum overhaul, like "How much will it cost to repair and insure?" and "How will companies hang their magnetic signs?" Answers should start coming in a couple of weeks.
