Ford Mustang Shelby Gt500 Convertible 2-door on 2040-cars
Miami Beach, Florida, United States
Low mileage Shelby GT500 Convertible. Steeda stage three power pack installed by Steeda in Pompano Beach, Florida. Includes blower pulley, aluminum intercooler, cold air intake, and computer tune. SCT tuner included with sale of vehicle. Additional go fast goodies include aluminum one piece drive shaft, Ford Motorsport throttle body, Steeda tri-axe shifter, and Pypes cat back exhaust. This car makes over 550 horsepower at the tires. The car has absolutely no mechanical issues at all. Runs and drives perfectly. Recent clutch replacement and brakes within the last two years (less than 4,000 miles ago). The car is red with black stripes. Overall appearance of the car is excellent, however it has been driven and there are minor paint chips consistent with the age and mileage of the car. The convertible top is in good condition. It looks good, seals well, and has no rips or tears. Power top raises and lowers smoothly. Convertible cover boot included with sale of vehicle. The car is equipped with the Shaker 1000 sound system from Ford. I had a Pioneer touch screen navigation stereo head unit installed. The stereo system sounds great. Also has HID headlights. Nitto NT555 tires in good condition. This is an awesome car that gets looks and thumbs up everywhere it goes.

Ford hiring 800 more salaried workers than originally expected
Wed, 24 Jul 2013Ford is on a roll this year, with excellent quarterly earnings and better-than-expected vehicle sales leading to 800 more job opportunities with the Blue Oval. In January, Ford announced that it wanted to hire 2,200 salaried employees, but, since then, that figure has been revised to 3,000, representing a 36-percent increase over original projections. About 1,500 of those jobs remain, 80 percent of which are technical professional positions.
"Engineers and technical professionals are in as much demand as our cars, trucks and SUVs," says Felicia Fields, Ford Group Vice President for Human Resources. Helping to spur this job growth are increasing market share on both the West and East Coast and robust demand for the Ford Escape and F-150.
To find job candidates, Ford is reaching out to them via Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, in addition to the company's corporate career site. The Blue Oval is also ramping up its presence on college campuses.
1979 Dodge Li'l Red Express in Generation Gap showdown with 1933 Ford Pickup
Fri, 18 Jul 2014Auto enthusiasts love a good debate, whether it's Mustang versus Camaro or Ferrari against Lamborghini. But how about a battle between two very different vintages of classic pickup trucks? In this case, the fight is between a 1979 Dodge Li'l Red Express and a 1933 Ford Model 46 truck with a flathead V8.
The shootout comes courtesy of the internet series Generation Gap, and its concept is super-simple. One guy prefers classics, and the other likes newer rides. They choose a category, pick two vehicles and put them head to head. In this case, neither is exactly modern, though. The Ford is more than old enough to receive Social Security checks, and the Dodge is hardly a young whippersnapper.
Other than both being pickups, these two models were made to serve very different functions. The Li'l Red Express was basically the progenitor of today's muscle trucks, with a big V8 that made it one of the quickest new models in its day (admittedly, 1979 was a rough time for automotive performance). On the other hand, the '33 Ford was just meant to work, with little pretense for anything else. One of the hosts describes it as "the simplest, most difficult" vehicle he's driven because of the tricky double clutchwork necessary to shift gears. Scroll down to watch the video and try to decide which of these two American classics you would rather have in your garage.
Vaughn Gittin Jr. takes his dog for a drift
Tue, 09 Sep 2014
Vaughn Gittin Jr. spends a great deal of his workday going sideways, but he's usually alone in the endeavor. For a guy that is clearly a dog lover, we imagine that can get a bit lonely.
That won't be a problem for Gittin in this latest video, which features the racer hanging out with his good pal Brody (a dog) and everyone's favorite hot hatch, the Ford Fiesta ST.
