LOW MILE CAR REFRESHED TO ORIGINAL THREE OWNER CAR 1968 FORD MUSTANG FASTBACK ONLY 46K MILES SINCE NEW Just arrived, this beautiful Mustang Fastback is ready for it's new owner... The early year Fastback Mustangs are becoming increasingly hard to find, especially unmolested, rust free examples. This car has had just three owners over the last 45 years and was refreshed about ten years ago by Owner #3. My shop has gone thru all the mechanicals and the car is ready to drive. This is the best color combination and will draw attention wherever you go. There was a new dual stage repaint in the factory Candyapple Red. The paint is very presentable, but there were some areas of improper prep which have caused some paint imperfections under close examination. If there is a desire for us to completely repaint the car in a new, excellent dual stage repaint, that can be arranged as part of the purchase. Call to discuss the details. This is one of the best color combinations on the early Mustangs... The interior of the car is also new, correct White bucket seats, door panels, and carpet were installed... The original dash pad is warped and we have a new one on order. We will include the original with the purchase... Very nice chrome and stainless trim throughout. 2015 Ford Mustang 50th Anniversary Edition says 'happy birthday' in New York
Wed, 16 Apr 2014Fifty years ago this week, Ford debuted the first-ever Mustang at the New York World's Fair. And to celebrate, the Blue Oval is offering up this special, 50th Anniversary Edition 2015 Mustang, which makes its debut at the New York Auto Show. It'll be a seriously limited affair, with only 1,964 examples of the special edition Mustang slated to be produced (the number chosen to coincide with the 'Stang's first year in production). But for those who raise their hands for the 50th Anniversary package, there's a pretty sweet package in store.
The 50th Anniversary Edition is based on the 2015 Mustang GT with the Performance Pack, and is only available in two colors: Kona Blue, or Wimbledon White (pictured). The car also comes fully loaded - the only option for buyers to choose is the transmission. Should you opt for the six-speed automatic, you'll get a limited-slip rear differential with a 3.55:1 final-drive ratio (the 50th Anniversary car is also the only way to get a slushbox-equipped 'Stang with the Performance Pack). Selecting the six-speed manual 'box will net you a Torsen differential with a 3.73:1 ratio. All 50th Anniversary cars will be powered by Ford's 5.0-liter, naturally aspirated V8, estimated to produce more than 420 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque in the 2015 Mustang.
Inside, there's a cashmere-stitched, leather-wrapped steering wheel, with a similar detail found on the instrument panel, shift boot, door inserts, seats, and center armrest. Two-tone leather/black upholstery is also part of the 50th Anniversary package, and of course, there's a special logo on the seats.

Here, we meet the brothers Ring in person - Mike and Jim - and see how they've lent they're passion for craftsmanship to their business, along with their surname. A 1964 Ford Fairlane dubbed "Afterburner" and a 1965 Mustang called "Producer" star in this show.
Ford tells Congress it collects and protects some driver data
Fri, 14 Feb 2014Last month Ford's Jim Farley made waves at the CES when it was reported he told show attendees, "We have GPS in your car, so we know what you're doing. By the way, we don't supply that data to anyone." Farley and Ford later partially retracted and clarified that statement.
Spurred by a desire for further transparency on data collection policies, Ford representatives answered questions from Congress, specifically Senator Al Franken (D-Minn.), about driver privacy.
The Detroit News reports that Ford told Congress it does collect some vehicle location data in an effort to "troubleshoot and improve our products" on behalf of the driver. Ford went on to say that it only collects limited data after receiving permission from owners.
