For sale is my 1988 Ford Mustang LX Convertible. This car is in amazing condition. This car has only 32K original miles. This is a truly special, non-modified Mustang. This car has never been raced, modified, driven in snow, or stored outside. It is easy to see that with such low miles, that the car is so clean.

Inside everything works as it should. All of the power window controls work. The car still retains the factory "premium" sound system that works like new. All of the gauges work properly. For a summer car the most important functions also perform perfect. The car recently had the air conditioning recharged and blows cold. The power convertible top also goes up and down with ease. The hinges open and close freely.

Under the hood the 5.0 is very clean. The only thing that is not stock is a K&N air filter. The 5 Speed transmission shifts easily. The exhaust, while not loud has a nice little rumble. The car still wears its factory exhaust system, with Ford stampings on the mufflers.

The body is in great shape. There is absolutely zero rust on the car. The paint still shines well and the black trim still retains its color, and is not faded out like many other Fox Body Mustangs. Every body panel has the factory body tag.

I can't say that the car is perfect, but it truly is as nice of a Fox Body as you will find anywhere. I will let the pictures do the talking. I will answer all questions as timely as possible. The car is for sale in Stevens Point, WI. I encourage you to come and take a look at this car in person.

A $500 down payment is due within 48 hours. Complete payment is due within 7 days. I reserve the right to end the auction early. There is NO implied warranty, car is sold AS IS.

Tanner Foust tackles 'Ring in SVT Raptor

Sat, 16 Mar 2013

Here's a math problem: if Tanner Foust has a 24 hours to kill in Germany and one blue Ford Raptor, how long will it take him to decide he wants to lap The Nürburgring? Extra credit if you can get your answer precise to the millisecond.
A very truck-like and slidey lap of the 'Ring is exactly what happened when the Ford-sponsored rallycross driver took time off from set-up duties for his 'day job.' Thankfully no one even thought to worry about posting a time, but you can watch some Raptor skid marks getting laid down between the kerbs in the video below.

Ford Everest Concept shows China also has an affinity for big trucks

Mon, 21 Apr 2014

The Ford Everest Concept SUV at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show shows the future of the Blue Oval's truck line in China. While a concept for now, we're told that JMC, Ford's Chinese joint-venture partner, will build a production version sometime in the near future.
With design from Ford's Asia Pacific design team, the handsome seven-passenger SUV shows off some very muscular styling with wraparound headlights that hook into the contours of the angular trapezoidal grille. The beltline rises up the body in the rear and makes the back appear higher than the front. The rear is made from hard, chiseled contours that give the truck a very tough look. The Everest looks ready for some rough roads.
Ford is keeping the interior and mechanical details about the Everest a secret for now, but the SUV is rumored to share some components with the overseas Ranger pickup. The company has no plans to sell the truck in North America. Scroll down to read the official announcement, including the few details on its production.

Ford C-Max sales hold steady despite fuel economy fracas

Mon, 09 Sep 2013

Despite the ballyhoo that accompanied Ford's lowering of the C-Max fuel economy figures, the Blue Oval is still seeing strong demand for the five-seat MPV, as Automotive News reports. Speaking to marketing boss Jim Farley, AN says that the controversy surrounding the C-Max's fuel economy figures won't force Ford to change its marketing strategy.
Ford lowered the fuel economy rating of the C-Max after public outcry and legal action by customers that were unable to reach the 47 miles per gallon promised by the window sticker. The new ratings were dropped about a month ago to 45 mpg on the freeway and 40 mpg in the city. Ford offered rebates for current C-Max owners, with $550 going to those that bought their car and $325 to lessees. The issue, says Ford, stemmed from testing standards that allowed the automaker to base the C-Max's fuel economy on the Fusion Hybrid, because they use identical powertrains. The C-Max's less aerodynamic shape wasn't taken into account, though.
Whether Ford's PR team handled the crises perfectly or people just aren't that bothered by a four-mpg drop in combined ratings, demand remains strong for the C-Max among consumers. Ford moved 3,000 units in August, which was a 12-percent jump over July sales. Meanwhile, consumer demand through third-party shopping websites remains strong as well, according to Autometrics, a data analysis company that spoke with Automotive News. While the long-term effects of the adjustments remain unknown, the C-Max appears to have fared well in the near term.
