1968 Mustang Gt 390 Coupe "only One Built" Barn Find Numbers Match on 2040-cars

Year:1969 Mileage:25000
Location:

Loveland, Colorado, United States

Loveland, Colorado, United States

I found this mustang locally and I purchased it from the family of the person who ordered it new.   It has been sitting in a garage for years.  I have The Marti Report for the car Ford built 2 Black Jade GT 390 coupes in 1969 and Only one had a Vinyl Roof.  This car is a numbers matching car.

The Body of the car has very little rust, The Floors, frame rails, drop downs, shock towers, torque boxes, cowl, inners and outers. are all very nice.  It needs some small patches on the front fenders and the rear quarters. It will be a very easy restoration jams trunk and hood are nice.  it does have 2 small pin holes in the roof from the vinyl top. the chrome and trim are nice. The glass is all nice.

The interior of the car is complete the headliner has no rips,  The drivers seat has been redone but is cracked,  I don't think the interior has been out of the car so Im betting that the build sheet is still in the car somewhere.

The motor runs great no funny noise and the tranny shifts fine.  It smoked a bit but got better as it ran a while I cleaned the fuel out of it and put a starter in it and it fired up. I drove it around the block but the tires are junk so that's as far as I went.

It has power steering, bower disc brakes, 9" rearend. and I have the correct wheels with caps and rings for it that came on the car.

Please ask any questions you have before bidding. I will answer quickly and honestly.  The car is not cheap but the reserve is realistic please don't ask but if you make the right offer I may add a buy now. Check my feedback only bid if you want the car.  I can help arrange shipping at buyers expense.  Thanks and happy bidding

This car does NOT have a salvage title, I accidentally put it in Wrong It has not had any accidents, flooding or theft,  I have a clean Colorado title in hand If E-bay wont let me change it. Sorry for the mistake.

Ford S-Max Concept proves minivans aren't always minivans [w/video]

Tue, 10 Sep 2013

Ford's latest don't-call-it-a-minivan is called the S-Max Concept, and it's a looker. As you can see, the conceptual overgrown hatch makes good use of Ford's latest design language, especially at the very front of the S-Max, which bears a striking resemblance to production models that include the Focus, C-Max and Fusion.
Powering the S-Max Concept is a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine, and while Ford doesn't actually list power figures for the concept, previous estimates put the mill at 133 kW of power (about 178 horsepower) and 240 Nm of torque (about 177 pound-feet). Inside, there's room for seven passengers and at least some of their luggage.
As you'd expect, the S-Max is loaded up with all of Ford's latest infotainment technology, including Sync and MyFordTouch. More interestingly, there are also onboard heart and blood glucose monitors that we doubt will be seeing the light of production anytime soon. On that topic, don't expect to see any S-Max-shaped vehicles hitting the US market from Ford, either. Scroll down below for the press release, but not before checking out the high-res image gallery above.

Ford shows off V8-powered Ranger headed to Dakar Rally

Tue, 30 Jul 2013

Avert your eyes now if you're jealous that the global version of the Ford Ranger is not offered in the US. Ford's midsize pickup is being tuned up to take on the 2014 Dakar Rally, and the result is a truck that is probably even cooler than any F-150 SVT Raptor we've ever seen in the States. Ford is actually building two versions of the truck for Dakar, which will run from January 5 through January 18, covering more than 5,000 miles from Argentina to Chile.
Starting with a fully composite body and a 5.0-liter V8 plucked from a Mustang, nearly every aspect of the trucks have been purpose built to take on the grueling race. This includes things like the six-speed sequential gearbox, liquid-cooled rear brakes and the 132-gallon fuel tank. As proof that Dakar is more about endurance than speed, the engines used in these race trucks will be limited to around 350 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque, and will max out at a top speed of just 105 miles per hour. Scroll down for Ford's official press release offering more information about the trucks and teams being prepped for Dakar.

Ford reveals Fiesta ST race car, points at road ahead for bigger things in Global RallyCross

Wed, 06 Feb 2013

The 2014 Ford Fiesta ST doesn't go on sale until this summer, but fans of Global RallyCross will be able to catch the car in action before then. Announced ahead of the Chicago Auto Show, the Fiesta ST will be the car run by Ford GRC teams this season, and the model on display in Chicago will be the racecar built by Swedish tuner OlsbergsMSE driven by Tanner Foust and Brian Deegan. Ken Block and his newly renamed Hoonigan Racing Division will also be competing in the Fiesta ST.
The 2013 GRC season has not been announced yet, but the venues will also include the summer X Games events in Brazil, Spain, Germany and, of course, Los Angeles. Ford announced that it will be the sole automotive sponsor of this year's summer X Games, and it will be looking to bring home a gold medal this year after Block placed silver last year.
In other Ken Block- and Ford-related news, another Chicago debut will be a tuned Focus ST called the TrackSTer project. Built in cooperation with Block, Ford and automotive tuner fifteen52, the TrackSTer will get plenty of styling, performance and handling upgrades. Some of the add-ons include a performance exhaust and short-throw shifter from Ford Racing, a rebuilt engine, upgraded components such as the limited-slip differential, intercooler, engine controller and clutch as well as upgraded brakes.
