Up for bids is this 1967 ford mustang fastback. This is a full out restoration project. It will need alot of love. It is buildable but will require alot of work. The body is rough. It will need floor pans and frame rail work. The rear quarters will need work. The passenger rocker is bent in. It looks like it was hit on that side at some point in time. The roof is good. There is no back glass or windshield. I have the door glasses. I took pics of the interior pieces I have. I have alot of them but there are a few things missing. The drivetrain is all there. It has a 289 engine with automatic transmission. It is a power steering, disc brake, A/C car. The A/C stuff is gone but everything else is there. It has a 9 inch rear end in it. There is a parts car included that is a good hull of a 67 coupe. It has decent doors and fenders on it. It has good frame rails and rockers. This coupe would be a great parts car to get your body panels off of to fix this one. This is a original 67 fastback. It has the VIN numbers on the inner fenders and has the door tag. This is the door tag info.

This is the breakdown of the door tag. This car would be a major project but is rebuildable. Look at the pics. Whatever you see in the pics is what comes with the car. If you see a piece missing and it is not pictured then it probably is missing. I do not have a title for the car. It will be sold with a bill of sale. Some states are pretty easy to get a title if you don't have one and some are not so you will need to check with your state to see how they are. There are titlle services that can help you obtain a title. If you have questions or need more info just let me know. If you need more pics let me know. Please ask all questions and make sure you want it before placing a bid. Also please make sure you have the funds to pay for it before placing a bid. I will require full payment within seven days of the end of auction. I will accept cash in person, certified bank check, or bank wire transfer as payment for the car. I can store it as long as needed as long as it is paid for. If you have questions email me or call me at 318-278-1069. The car is for sale locally and on some other sites so I will end the auction if it sells.

2014 Ford Fiesta Titanium

Mon, 28 Oct 2013

You might not be interested in owning a subcompact (B-segment) hatchback for $20,000. Let's be clear from the get go here: there are any number of reasonable arguments for staying away from the highest-content versions of these small cars. Ford's player in the B-segment arena is the newly updated 2014 Fiesta, and the Titanium trim represents the most luxurious instantiation of the model. We recently were loaned a Fiesta Titanium for a week, whose final sticker price hit $20,390, with navigation being the only standalone option added to the bottom line. By way of comparison, the most basic version of the all new, one-segment-up Mazda3 hatchback costs $19,740 with delivery and destination accounted for, and no options added on.
Hold on to that thought for a moment, we'll get back to it.

Ford to announce Mulally retirement, Fields CEO as early as May 1

Mon, 21 Apr 2014

Ford CEO Alan Mulally may be about to announce his long-rumored retirement from the Blue Oval, according to a pair of insiders who spoke to Bloomberg. An official statement on the succession could arrive as soon as May 1. Chief Operating Officer Mark Fields is rumored to step up as the new CEO. The company is said to be readying the announcement soon to ensure an orderly transition of power, according to the insiders.
Mulally's retirement from Ford has been a hot topic for a while. He was seriously rumored last year to be leaving the automaker to take over as the CEO of Microsoft. The board even said at one point that it was okay with them if he stepped down early. However, the CEO maintained he would stay with the business through at least the end of 2014. Fields has been rumored as a frontrunner to take over the top spot at the company since he was promoted to COO.
For the moment, Ford isn't officially confirming any of these plans. "We don't comment on speculation. We do have succession plans in place for our key leadership. We take succession planning very seriously," said Susan Krusel, Ford Global News Manager, to Autoblog.

Ford profiles surprisingly affluent Focus ST buyers

Fri, 08 Nov 2013

It comes as no surprise when Ford says that 32-percent of Focus ST buyers are under 35, but we weren't expecting this: the average annual salary of Focus ST buyers is $127,000. Twenty-two percent of non-ST Focus buyers are under 35, while their average annual salary is $67,000.
We like the Focus ST because it has 252 horsepower, is genuinely fun to drive and offers great value for performance-minded car enthusiasts; facts that are not lost on customers, it seems. Ford says that the Focus ST has the highest percentage of conquest sales for a non-hybrid model it sells, and that the top-four trade-ins are from Honda, Chevrolet, Mazda and Toyota. Demand for the hot Focus is strongest in Los Angeles, Detroit, Houston and Orlando.
"[The Focus ST is] having this kind of halo effect for other vehicles we'd hoped for when we invested in the ST brand," says John Felice, vice president of US marketing, sales and service, because it's helping to boost sales of other Ford vehicles.
