  • high window in back panel...very rare
  • visor mounted rear view mirror...very rare
  • to clear up any confusion on the year of this truck....it is titled as 1929....but has april 1928 vin number and alot of 1928 features...if you been around Model A's and worked on them you know that april of 1928 was alot of transitions from 1928 parts to 1929 parts and Henry used the 1928 parts on pickups until the stock was depleted and then went to 1929 parts...
  • old restoration with a few scratches and nix
  • runs good....stops good....daily driver...been in lots of parades and cruises
  • this little truck starts easier than any Model A I've had....you don't have to choke it and it very seldom needs to have the carb ajusted....it starts in a very slow idle and really never needs to warm up....you can tell alot about how an A Model runs by seein how slow it will idle..
  • 6 volt generator
  • no broken beads or patches on fenders
  • drum tail lite and fluted headlite lenze
  • wolf whistle on intake manifold....original GMI ahooogha horn

HISTORY;

original off Ronald Mason ranch, Nowata, Okla. ( breeder of Oklahoma Star quarter horses)...was always known as "Ole Henry" and painted on the tailgate.......restored in nearby Bartlesville and sold to a guy in Dewey....I had a chance to buy it 18 yrs ago....guy in Dewey beat me to it....15 yrs later I get it bought from him due to losing his eye sight....he only drove it in a few parades....the sign painted on the door was done with baby powder mix in the paint to make it flake off and look old....so, it can be changed easily to take on your name and business....hate to sell Ole Henry ....I will have more for sale including a 1929 Phaeton and a doodle bug and an Open 1928 AA

Ford Mustang GT350 drops some camo

Mon, 03 Feb 2014

Now that we've poured over the 2015 Ford Mustang in its standard form, it's time to look ahead. We already knew (and heard - literally) that Ford was working on a higher-performance version of its 'Stang to replace the Shelby GT500, and earlier reports have stated that it will simply be called the GT350.
We don't have a ton of detail to go on, but this latest set of spy photos clearly shows a hood-mounted air scoop, which suggests a forced-induction powerplant is under the hood. However, this disagrees with earlier reports that the GT350 will be all motor, using a naturally aspirated engine to send massive horsepower to the rear wheels. Our spies also point out the functional vent aft of the front wheels to allow for better airflow, and the massive quad exhaust pipes can be seen, clear as day.
Expect to see the Mustang GT350 in April, when it debuts at the New York Auto Show in conjunction with the Pony's 50th anniversary. In the meantime, have a look at our gallery above to see the latest shots of the hot Mustang out testing.

Experts wonder if aluminum F-150 gives Ford a real advantage

Mon, 17 Mar 2014

There's no doubt that Ford is taking a risk in producing the body of its upcoming new F-150 pickup truck in aluminum. What is up for debate, however, is whether aluminum was a wise risk to take in the first place. Wards Auto took the opportunity to poll some experts on the subject of aluminum versus steel in the automotive sector, with somewhat unsurprising results.
Richard Schultz, a project consultant at Ducker Worldwide, which bills itself as "a leading aluminum industry consultant (though they also deal in steels), suggests that the potential drawbacks to aluminum - higher costs, lower supply - aren't really impediments to the auto industry's increased acceptance of the lightweight metal.
Similarly, Randall Scheps, global automotive marketing director for Alcoa, a massive aluminum producer, counters claims that aluminum is less safe for vehicle occupants, suggesting that the use of aluminum can actually increase safety as it could potentially allow for larger vehicles with more crush space than steel.

Ford board OK with Mulally stepping down earlier

Fri, 06 Sep 2013

Ford's board is open to CEO Alan Mulally stepping down before his planned departure in 2014, inside sources are telling Reuters. Ford's plan of succession, aside from who would be his actual successor, has been something approaching common knowledge - the 68-year-old former Boeing exec had plans to stay through 2014. This was recently confirmed by Mulally himself on Bloomberg Television and in Automotive News.
Motivation for the about-face comes from what Reuters calls a "growing confidence" in the current crop of Ford execs, led by Mark Fields. Fields, Ford's current chief operating officer, has been tipped as Mulally's ultimate successor, although he's far from the only person with eyes on Ford's top job. Normally, Ford's board saying they're open to an executive, that's done very well for the company, stepping down early would be nearly unremarkable. It's the timing of this announcement, though, that makes this a big piece of news.
Recently, Mulally has been the subject of rumors that he's interested in taking the CEO position at tech giant Microsoft. The Redmond, Washington-based company's CEO, Steve Ballmer, told the media in August that he'd be retiring in a year's time. The fires were stoked when tech website AllThingsD speculated that Mulally would take the top spot, despite denials from the man himself. Could Ford's current boss become the new top dog at Microsoft? Will Mark Fields replace him? Could recently departed Renault exec Carlos Tavares land at Ford in some capacity? Let us know what you think below in Comments.
