Up for Auction ! 1931 Ford Model A 4 door Deluxe . This is my 1st model A that I bought about10 years ago.It is pretty much all original.Since I bought it back then. Threw the years I have put a complete rebuilt motor, 4 new tires,hub caps,new style water pump,newer high points system,new exhaust,plus other parts in it .I have less than 500 miles on the rebuilt motor.Car drives as a model A should drive.It has been one of the funnest cars I have ever owned.It has the wear and tear of car this old that you would expect.I didn't want one that I would have worry about someone scratching up or parking 4 blocks away from were I drove it.So in short,The running gear all works the way it should.The body and interior are original and a little ruff .But it has been a very fun car to own and drive.Time for someone else to have some fun with it.My interests have moved toward other things ,and its time to let her go.Thanks for looking! 2015 Ford Mustang production starts in Flat Rock
Thu, 28 Aug 2014Today's the day, Ford fans. Production has officially commenced on the sixth-generation 2015 Mustang at the company's Flat Rock, MI factory. As production ramps up, sales should kick off in the coming months.
The production news isn't just a bit deal for American fans. With the new Mustang getting a bespoke right-hand-drive variant, the pony car's worldwide availability has swollen to include 120 different countries, including its home nation.
"Mustang is and will continue to be an automotive icon," Joe Hinrichs, Ford's president of the Americas, said in a statement. "Expanding its availability globally affords our customers around the world the opportunity to have a true firsthand Mustang experience - one unlike any other."
Does the new 2015 Ford Mustang have a burnout control system?
Tue, 10 Dec 2013Whether it's lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring or automatic emergency braking, most of the electronic systems we see emerging on new vehicles focus on safety. But there are some there just for enthusiasts. We're talking about systems like automatic throttle blipping for perfect downshifts, or launch control to get that textbook acceleration from a standstill. But the latest system could prove just the opposite of the latter.
Although it has given us most of the details, Ford is still keeping certain elements of its new Mustang secret. But emerging reports may have the skinny on one system which Ford is trying is darnedest to keep under its hat for the time being. That, according to unnamed sources cited by Motor Authority, is burnout control.
The system is reportedly designed to help novices execute the perfect smokey burnout - sort of like launch control, but specifically the opposite. The system could, according to elaborative speculation, lock the front brakes while spooling up the engine to optimal revolutions before dumping (or indicating the driver to do dump) the clutch. A cloud of tire smoke and a long pair of skid marks would then ensue.
