This is a 1930 5 window rumble seat coupe un-molested body only.  The car is an original California car last registered in 1964.  In 1964, it was put into inside storage and in 1987 it was sold.  The new owner took the car to Los Angeles, very carefully took it apart. Cut out the few rust areas, had it sand blasted then fully primered.  He purchased all the patch panels then lost interest in the car.  The car has remained in a closed storage area since.  1 week ago was the first time it had been outside in almost 25 years.  There is minimal rust as shown in the photos.  There is no rust in the doors, the windshield frame is perfect.  Even the black naugahide upholstery is good.  The original wood is perfect.  It comes with all the interior moldings, glass, seats, pieces and parts  for the body.  No chassis, fenders, hood radiator or registration.  I will answer all questions or email your phone number and I will call if you want to talk one on one.  I will not wrap, box or crate, it is pick up only and cash only.  You will not find one this good very often.  Make a nice Hi Boy on a 32 Frame, just like on the cover of the April edition of Street Rodder.

Ford increasing Super Duty production by 15 percent

Fri, 31 Jan 2014

Ford has announced a hefty $80 million investment in its Kentucky Truck Plant, which is responsible for building the F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 versions of the Super Duty pickup. The influx of cash will add 350 jobs to the factory.
The investment is also good for a 15-percent increase in annual production thanks to retooling and other facility upgrades, which equates to an extra 55,000 units of production. Considering that Ford makes even more money off its Super Duty than it does on the hot-selling F-150, this could mean some serious coin to Ford's bottom line.
Hop below for the full press release from Ford on its latest investment.

What's in a trademark? Sometimes, the next iconic car name

Thu, 07 Aug 2014

The United States Patent and Trademark Office is a treasure trove for auto enthusiasts, especially those who double as conspiracy theorists.
Why has Toyota applied to trademark "Supra," the name of one of its legendary sports cars, even though it hasn't sold one in the United States in 16 years? Why would General Motors continue to register "Chevelle" long after one of the most famous American muscle cars hit the end of the road? And what could Chrysler possibly do with the rights to "313," the area code for Detroit?

Next Ford Raptor spotted wearing aluminum skin

Wed, 07 May 2014

Well, look at what we have here. Judging from these spy shots, Ford is indeed working on the next generation of its off-road-ready F-150 Raptor pickup truck. We've made no attempt to hide our appreciation for the Baja-style truck, which combines most of the usability of a fullsize truck with heavy-duty suspension components to make a kind of performance vehicle that is unique in the market.
What we haven't known, until now, is whether Ford would push forward with its Raptor program now that it has a completely new F-150 to serve as its base. And that's especially true since Ford made the bold move of switching the bodywork of its best-seller from tried-and-true steel to aluminum. As you can see above, the front and rear of this silver truck are clad in current-gen Raptor bodywork, while the center section that houses the occupants appears to come from the upcoming 2015 F-150.
Dissecting the views above, we note a few interesting tidbits. First, there looks to be a bulge in the truck's hood. Second, we see a new grille between the current Raptor's headlights, sporting a mesh finish and two horizontal bars. Lastly, our eyes can't help but lock in on those burly A-arm suspension pieces down below, not to mention all that ground clearance the specialty suspenders bring to the table.
