Up for sale is a perfect candidate for a chop top street rod.this car is a numbers matching 1929 Ford model a tudor.2 doors sedan thats has been apart since 1956.The original owner decided to take apart and restore the vehicle at some point in1955.last registration was in 1955.In 1956 owner passed and family left car to sit for 50+ years in the garage.

The original owner had bought new roof material,5 tires with tubes and liners and a gasket kit.It looks to have all the parts with the exception of most interior panels. The passengers door panels is there and complete and theres a kick panel, so there are templetes for making new panels. There are a few other pieces but where they went, im not sure yet.The car still has some of the original sound deadner that was used back then glued to the inner panels in the back. The front and rear seat frames are real clean, needs 1 spring in the back bottom fixed and new material on all but the underneath of them are clean. The berlap and padding is intacted and probably reusable in the back seat. The streering wheel and column are complete and the wheel only has a couple small hair line cracks that will easily be  repairable but the levers, light switch and horn button will probably need rechromed but it all there and everything seems to turn freely.

This car looks incredible for the age and the lack of rust. The doors are clean, both of them open and shut solid all the edges are near if not perfect. The drivers rear fender and lower body section are the only issues on this car.The fender has 3 dime size spots of rust and a small dimple that will mostly hammer out.the body has a spot half inch or less high and 3 maybe 4 inches long were the shock rod rubbed the body but the the metal is solid around the areas that need work.the car will need a new shock rod.the ring gear will also need replaced.i think it was probably the reason it was takin apart, the teeth are hit hard but the starter gear looks good.

The engine looks to all be there along.Short block with pretty clean honable cyclinder walls, head, intake, carb, fan, water pump, oil punp, water tudes, linkages and the original belt, its just apart.rear main bear cap is pulled and looks like it'll need new babit(spelling probably not correct).3 speed tranny looks to be complete with both pedals, bell housing, throw out bearin, clutch disk shifter handle and a nice little black shifter knob.handle may want it rechromed.

The roof still has the original chicken wire with alot of the cotton still intacted.Car has all the originial glass with the regulators.i noticed that one of the springs on 1 regulator was broke.the sunvisor is a pretty rusty looking i think it would recover just fine once its stripped ,prepped and painted.all the wood in this car looks solid.the floors dont look to need anything.the roof has only one nail hole in it where the tack strip was nailed down from the factory and i believe all the tack strip is there.

The 2 wires on the cowl and the harness i found in a box that has 2 wires running threw a tube even look decent. The original door sill plates with the screws taped to them are there. The gas tank even smells fresh,no oder at all of any gas, unscrew the cap and the take the screen out and you can see the tank is clean and the cork floater is still there. The headlight glass is good no cracks look clean and pretty darn clear.the buckets need chromed but they dont have any rust and the wires are still intact, there were left bolted to the bar and the bar was repainted black like some of the frontend parts were painted. Some items in boxes that ive looked at are tail light with bracket an wires, wiper blade, wiring harness, spindles backing plates, drums, shoes, lots of bolts and bearing, linkages, springs. It pretty much looks like a whole car.Tis is an excellent body and frame for a custom street rod.Still has the canvas material they used on the gas tank as an anti rattle for the hood. The hood is also there and the 2 brackets to hold it down.Door handles and window cranks and the chrome rings for behind the handles im guessin, looks to be a map light also.rear view mirror with the screws taped to it.leather straps and brackets with the original screws.Parking brake handle. The rim are good. they need a good cleaning and new paint but their solid.2 on the car are holding air but tires need to be reseated.they were just used to get the car able to roll.Rubber between the gas tank and body still intacted and not cracked up.the window frame and hindges for the front windshield looks good.has the knods inside the cab that holds the frame still and they tightin up and lossin real nice. The hole in the cowl (passengers side)was for a heat tube that runs off the top of the motor which all the piece are still there.

Clean metal inside and out to work with.Super clean. Most everything turns freely.I haven't found anything that is froze up or locked up yet, some worn out bushings and a few engine problems like the ring gear an rear main cap and the front crank pully is all i've found so far.it all just needs cleaned an finished.i've worked on cars thas were 50 yrs newer that werent near this clean.it is a perfect street rod candidate. This car came with the registration slip which was signed and left open.car was sold thew the family once from what i can with a bill of sale that  i recieved when i bought the car so that is what it will be sold with a Bill Of Sale and the original registration.

Car is up for sale local and you are welcome to come see it before bidding. send me an email an i'll send you my number if interested.

Would a Mustang-based Lincoln look like this?

Mon, 07 Jan 2013

Designer Josiah LaCalla has taken a stab at what a Ford Mustang-based Lincoln model might look like with the Continental Mark X1 concept. Make no mistake, Ford's luxury arm has made it abundantly clear that it won't be pursuing any new products outside of volume models, which means a flashy halo grand tourer like the one you see here isn't in the cards. LaColla used the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG as a basis for his creation, which explains the long nose, but we certainly don't mind the idea of a rear-wheel drive Lincoln with a cabin pushed to the aft.
While we're dreaming, there's certainly nothing stopping us from imagining what's under that lengthy hood. We like the idea of the 5.8-liter supercharged V8 from the Shelby GT500 pushing the Mark X1 down the road, but how about something a little more inventive? Something like a high-revving, buttery V12 with enough torque to push the contraption well past 200 miles per hour. Dream a little dream, people.

Tanner Foust gets eponymous hotted-up Ford Focus ST from Cobb Tuning

Thu, 14 Mar 2013

Racer and Top Gear USA host Tanner Foust has partnered up with Cobb Tuning to create a special-edition Ford Focus ST. The limited-edition hatches will come packing a reflashed ECU, special intercooler, tweaked intake and freer-flowing exhaust for up to 20 percent more power than the stock creation. Cobb says that the changes should push the final dyno figure to above 300 horsepower. Buyers can also expect to find special carbon fiber aerodynamic bits on board along with a new grille, graphics and wheels. Cobb hasn't released pricing on this Tanner Foust Edition Ford Focus ST as of yet, but you can bet the whole kit won't be cheap.
Fortunately, the company will sell you bits and pieces from the overall package for your Ford, and word has it engineers are also whipping up a Foust Fiesta ST. Look for Cobb's Focus ST website to go live next month, complete with accurate specs and pricing. Until then, enjoy clicking through the gallery here. Your official Ford Transit specs are here, $29,565* to start

Wed, 04 Jun 2014

Ford has released the full list of pricing and specs on its new Transit, the replacement for the long-lived E-Series cargo van. Prices are set to start at $29,565 and can increase rapidly from there, depending on length, engine and wheelbase, among other options.
Let's talk first about those new engines. The base is the familiar 3.7-liter, naturally aspirated V6. It boasts 275 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque and can return up to 14 miles per gallon in the city and 19 mpg on the highway. This engine can also be adapted to run on LPG or compressed natural gas. Of course, there are better alternatives, for a price, the first of which is Ford's well-received, 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6. It packs 310 hp and a best-in-class 400 lb-ft of torque (available at just 2,500 rpm) while matching the naturally aspirated engine in both city and highway fuel economy.
Then, there's the diesel. With a 3.2-liter, five-cylinder diesel mill at its disposal, the Transit generates 350 lb-ft between 1,500 and 2,500 rpm, along with 185 hp. This engine hasn't been rated by the EPA, although we'd be really, really surprised if it didn't handily best either of the gas-powered engines in fuel efficiency. A six-speed automatic is standard, regardless of engine.
