THIS IS A GREAT CAR. I BOUGHT IT BECAUSE I COULD NOT FIND A 1962 CADDY CONVERTIBLE. I JUST FOUND ONE OF THOSE AND NOW NEED TO SELL THIS CAR. I HAVE HAD IT FOR ABOUT A YEAR. CAR RUNDS GREAT. THE INTEREIOR IS A 9 OUT OF 10. IT HAS A CONVERTIBLE TOP THAT WORKS GREAT AND IS A POWER TOP. THE TOP ITSELF IS REALLY NICE. IT IS A STRONG RUNNING CAR AND IT HAS VERY GOOD BRAKES. IT DOES HAVE THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS THAT I THINK ARE RARE BUCKET SEATS CONSOLE POWER TOP FACTORY AC THE CARS BODY APPEARS TO BE VERY STRAIGHT. I WOULD TELL YOU THE PAINT JOB IS GOOD. IT DOES HAVE SOME CHIPS THAT HAVE BEEN TOUCHED UP. IT ALSO HAS ONE SPOT OF RUST ON DRIVERS SIDE REAR QUARTER PANEL. IT IS NOT A LARGE SPOT BUT I WANTED TO NOTE IT. I JUST HAD THE GENERATOR REBUILT ON THE CAR. THE CHROME IS NOT PERFECT BUT IT IS NICE. THE GAS GAUGE IS THE ONE THING I KNOW DOES NOT WORK. IT ALSO DOES HAVE A CHEAPER AFTERMARKET RADIO IN IT. OVER ALL IT IS A SOLID CAR. IT APPEARS TO BEA MATCHING NUMBERS CAR. THIS IS A NICE CAR AT A NICE PRICE. THE CAR IS BEING SOLD AS IS WHERE IS. IT IS FOR SALE LOCALLY AND I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END AUCTION EARLY IF I SELL IT LOCALLY. I HAVE PUT MY LOWEST PRICE AS THE START PRICE AND WE WILL SEE WHERE IT GOES. Watch live as Mark Fields is officially named Ford's next CEO
Thu, 01 May 2014We've heard rumblings of a changing of the guard at Ford, and this live stream from The Blue Oval itself is set to confirm the rumors: Alan Mulally will be succeeded by the automaker's current Chief Operating Officer, Mark Fields.
Mulally, who is 68 years old, has served at the head of Ford for eight years, and his official retirement date will be July 1st, 2014. Fields, who is 53 this year, has been with Ford for 25 years and has been groomed to take the helm from Mulally for the last several of those years.

Feds looking into Ford Explorer exhaust leak complaints
Fri, 20 Jun 2014There may be a burgeoning problem with exhaust leaks in the 2011-2014 model year Ford Explorer. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is examining multiple complaints of a gasoline smell in the cabin of these SUVs. However, the exact cause of this problem is still unknown.
"The agency is reviewing all available data and will take appropriate action as warranted," said a NHTSA spokesperson in an email to Automotive News. Owners seem to generally complain on the regulator's website of the smell entering the cabin through the air vents. At this time, the government organization has not yet opened an official investigation into the problem, though. When it does begin inspecting vehicles, NHTSA posts a detailed breakdown of its public data online.
Similar problems have been reported about the Explorer in the past, though. In 2013, Ford issued a recall for the 2013 model year of the SUV due to a fuel leak that could cause drivers to smell a gasoline odor and repaired them again later for another possible leak. In response to Autoblog's questions, Ford responded via email: "We are not aware of a NHTSA investigation. We are currently reviewing the case and in the event that any action is required, we will address it promptly."
Ford Transit Skyliner Concept does discreet luxury in NYC

They're cool, and as a means of getting chauffeured about, they're extremely comfortable and far more low key than your typical executive luxury sedan. For the 2014 New York Auto Show, Galpin Auto Sports has shown the potential of the new-for-the-US Ford Transit as an ultra-luxurious people hauler.
The Transit Skyliner Concept, which we previewed last week, sports four finely crafted captain's buckets that can be moved into different formations based on need. Want to watch a movie? The seats can be swung around to face a 52-inch screen. Riding along with some business associates? A table can be popped up. There's even a configuration for tailgating.
The materials are, unsurprisingly, pretty plush. The leather seats and wood floors (yes, wood floors in a van) look great, while the trunk and its customized luggage are a nice touch, as well.
