1962 Falcon Squire Wagon on 2040-cars
Hillsborough, New Jersey, United States
302 and C4 from a 76 Granada, 8.5 inch rear. All the plastic wood pieces are there, new woodgrain not original Ford pattern. Has new front floors welded in, though not the best welding job. very little rust except in bottom of rear quarters. Tailgate, rockers and spare tire well are solid.Paint is fair, roof should be redone.Rear bumper chrome very good front bumper is painted. New carpet, front seats are from an Explorer. Was originally a 6 cyl with 3 speed manual trans, have all original parts and front seat if wanted. clutch pedal and linkage are still in car under carpet. I have tried to describe the car as best I can. Look at pictures, ask questions, if you bid and win it's yours. Have to thin out the herd, too many projects right now.
New parts: aluminum radiator, new gaskets throughout motor and trans, drum brakes with dual MC and new hoses, converted to GM alternator, 1976 Ford electronic ignition. 13" wheels in front, 14" in rear all new tires. Kenwood stereo with kickpanel speakers. All new front suspension (ball joints, control arms, idler arm, bearings) What it needs: Paint is good from 20 feet, needs minor rust repair in lower quarters, Brakes work but require heavy pressure, may need a different size MC, needs a new shifter, interior finishing. This is far from a show car, but it could be a great cruiser with a little more work Would prefer a local cash sale in person. I will not ship you must make your own arrangements for pickup. Could probably deliver within 100 miles for a fee. |

Ford hybrid sales rebound following MPG controversy
Sun, 31 Aug 2014Ford hybrid customers apparently have very short memories. With two EPA fuel economy reratings in the last year, sales of the C-Max, Fusion Hybrid and Lincoln MKZ haven't been too terribly dented, Ward's Auto reports.
All three vehicles saw sales dips following the August 2013 rerating, although sales of the MKZ Hybrid had begun to rebound as early as November of that year. C-Max sales, meanwhile, took slightly longer, with sales on a steadily improving course as early as February of this year.
The second rerating, in June of this year, has had an even smaller effect on the Blue Oval's hybrids. The C-Max has actually been subject to a sales increase, while both the MKZ and Fusion saw minor sales drops (less than 400 units between the two in the month following the rerating).
XCAR stages epic drag race between Ford GT40, GT70 and GT
Mon, 19 Aug 2013XCAR has put together what it believes is a first - a drag race between Ford's legendary, Le Mans-winning GT40, the more recent GT supercar it inspired and the little-known GT70 rally car. The three mid-engined monsters were all built for very different purposes, and not surprisingly, they come to battle with very different powertrains.
The GT40 is powered by a thumping, naturally aspirated V8. This example, which looks like a Mark IV model, is likely powered by a 7.0-liter engine, although it's not entirely clear how much power it's putting down. The GT70, meanwhile, was Ford's response to the Lancia Stratos. Considering that the Lancia is one of the greatest rally cars in history and many of you are probably just hearing of the GT70 for the first time, you can imagine how much success Ford had with it. Only six were produced before a change in regulations doomed this mid-engined rally car.
The Ford GT, meanwhile, doesn't really need an introduction. 550 horsepower is on offer from a 5.4-liter, supercharged V8, which keeps the GT competitive even against more modern supercars. 60 miles per hour arrives in well under four seconds while the top speed sits at 212 mph. Not bad for a car that went out of production in 2006.
Forza Horizon announces January Recaro Car Pack with LFA N"urburgring Edition
Wed, 26 Dec 2012Another month, another car pack for Forza Horizon. This time it's the Recaro Car Pack featuring a motley gang of cars and trucks: the 1983 GMC Vandura G-1500, 1995 Ford Mustang Cobra R, 2012 Cadillac Escalade ESV, 2005 Mercedes-Benz SLR, 2012 Lexus LFA Nürburgring Edition and 2012 Lotus Exige S.
It'll be up for download on Xbox Live on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013 for 400 MS Points. As usual, if you have the Forza Horizon Season Pass you can get them all free, and Season Pass holders will also get a bonus car that's not pictured: the 2009 Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster.
The Pagani is everything opposite to that Vandura, but while you might not ever win anything with the van, you can always use the back of it as a place to give out free hugs. Check out the video and press release below for more details.
