Up for sale is my 1970 Ford Fairlane 500 Sedan.

The car has been a wonderful amount of fun, but I must get rid of it for health issues.

It is a 36,000 mile car - with the odometer reading 8700 in 1997!  I have receipts from the previous owner documenting the life of this car.

The car has the 302ci V8 with 2-barrel carb and 220 horsepower.  Paired with the dual exhausts and mean-streak mufflers, the car has a great grumble!  The interior is spotless and has no tears, rips or seams of any kind.  You will be hard pressed to find an interior this clean and original.  Undercarriage is very clean as well.  The front suspension has had work, but retains the drum brakes.  That said, the car still stops very well.  There is a little bit of surface rust on the inside of the doors, but there are no holes of any kind.  The paint is 6 or 7 footer with various nicks and chips, but still a wonderful looking car.  Original tranny shifts wonderfully.  Tires are new.

The car is being sold as-is with no warranty implied.  That said, I would feel comfortable driving it just about anywhere.  I've also noticed about 18 or so MPG from it, so this is no gas-hog. Drive her home or trailer it for safety.  I will assist with shipping also if needed - at buyer expense.  Any questions, please msg me on EBAY and I will respond swiftly.

$700 non-refundable deposit due within 48 hours - balance due within 7 days unless prior arrangements are made.  Good luck and god bless!!

2015 Ford Mustang vs. Camaro and Challenger [w/poll]

Thu, 17 Jul 2014

The horsepower wars are tightening among the Detroit Three, as the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger are getting bigger, more powerful, and yes, more fuel efficient.
That came into sharper focus this week as more information was revealed about the most insane Challenger ever - the 707-horsepower Hellcat - followed quickly by Ford's in-depth showcase of the 2015 Mustang in Dearborn.
It's shaping up to be a golden age for enthusiasts, and what's under the hood is becoming more important than ever.

Ford Australia pulls the ol' talking car prank

Mon, 07 Apr 2014

Siri from Apple has proven that being able to talk to your technology doesn't always work perfectly. But what if it could eventually go far enough to give a personality to inanimate objects like our cars? Ford took just this path to comedic effect by playing a prank on many unsuspecting Australians, in a new commercial for its EcoSport compact crossover.
The Aussies seem very nonchalant about having a random parked car talk to them, and they seem surprisingly game when it asks them to get in, call a celebrity and tell a joke. (We're guessing there are some hilarious outtakes, too.) Scroll down to watch some folks from Down Under have a conversation with Ford's CUV.

Bill Ford wins National Pond Hockey Championship with employees

Tue, 11 Feb 2014

Who says executives aren't people? This past weekend, Bill Ford, executive chairman of Ford Motor Company, and a group of employees trekked up to Eagle River, WI for a few games of pond hockey. Team Ford took part in the 2014 Labatt Blue/USA Pond Hockey Championship, capturing its fifth title in the 50+ Tier 1 Division.
"It feels great to win," Ford, who plays on the team alongside other Ford employees, told the USA Hockey website. "It was fun to play [River Valley Pioneers] because they're great guys and we play them every year. We finally beat them, which we were due. It was a very clean game, a tough game."
The FoMoCo team managed to score seven goals to River Valley's two, and went undefeated in all five of its games during the tourney. Take a look below for the official press release on Team Ford's win.
