1956 Ford Fairlane Victoria, Clean Texas Car, Original, Restored, 312 V8, Auto on 2040-cars
Tuscola, Illinois, United States
Here is a very well done 1956 Ford Fairlane Victoria. This is the rare, 4dr Hardtop similar to the recent feature automobile in Hemming's Motor News. Google 1956 Ford Failane Victoria, and you will see the picture of the yellow and white Victoria that was featured. That article will give you the history of the model. Our Meadow Mist Green and White example is maybe a little nicer. You can call me about this car at (217) 253-2299 or (217) 550-3428 This car was purchased by it's former owner, in Texas, in 2012. They decided to sell when the storage space fee's, (for their seven cars) started to get too pricy. I drove this car down I-57 from Matteson IL, to Tuscola IL, 133 miles. The car drove very well at 65-70 mph. Thumbs ups all the way. The rust free Texas body and chassis has been beautifully re-sprayed in it's original color. The chrome is excellent. The interior has new door panels and is very nice. The 312 V8 has been rebuilt. There is a brand new Holley 2 barrel carburetor installed, however the car does come with the rebuilt, original Holley Tea Pot 4 barrel. As you can see, the car is very nice from top to bottom, inside and out. We can arrange shipping Worldwide. Just call or send us your zip code or preferred port for a fast quote. Bid with confidence, as we have sold vehicles from coast to coast, Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico, Central America, The UK and all over Europe. Thank you! Cooper Motors, Ltd. Tuscola, IL

Man turns Ford Fiesta into a one-car band
Mon, 18 Nov 2013The one-man band is a rather ridiculous idea, drawing up images of one person attempting to manipulate several instruments, at once, in a vain attempt at creating music. It's usually represented by silly scenes like this. Interestingly, the concept isn't much more successful when the "man" in "one-man band" is replaced with "car," as we see in this video.
It seems that someone rigged up and edited (699 times, we might add) a Ford Fiesta, a bucket, 12 PVC pipes and the natural sounds that a car makes to come up with a song. Now, we don't recognize the tune, so we've no idea if this is a cover or an original piece. And while it's hardly Beethoven, we have to admire the amount of effort the "conductor" went to in his attempt to turn a subcompact car into a musical instrument(s). Take a look (or listen) below for the entire video.
Ford previews new C-Max ahead of upcoming debut
Mon, 15 Sep 2014Looking at a Ford Focus? These days you can get it as a five-door hatch, a four-door sedan, or... that's all. European buyers don't even get our sedan, but they do get a wagon. And while the three-door hatch, two-door coupe and two-door cabrio have long since ended production, buyers around the world can also get the company's larger C-Max. And now, like the Focus upon which it's based, Ford is preparing to roll out a new version.
The tall wagon (or small minivan, depending on your perspective) is being treated to what Ford says is "an extreme makeover." Details to accompany the teaser image above remain few and far between, but following the spy shots we recently posted, it looks destined for some of the same visual updates as Ford rolled out on the 2015 Focus, with "even more refinement, practicality and technology."
Like the Mercedes B-Class, which is only available Stateside as an EV, American buyers can only get the C-Max in electrified form, either as the C-Max Hybrid or C-Max Energi. Overseas buyers, however, will be able to choose from a range of powertrain options and two wheelbase lengths - the longer of which boasts seven seats and the Grand C-Max name. (Remember when Chrysler did the same with its minivans?) Both are set to debut on September 17, so watch this space. After that, we'll expect to see it on display at the Paris Motor Show.
Ford Transit Skyliner Concept does discreet luxury in NYC
Thu, 17 Apr 2014There's something to be said for luxed-out vans. They're cool, and as a means of getting chauffeured about, they're extremely comfortable and far more low key than your typical executive luxury sedan. For the 2014 New York Auto Show, Galpin Auto Sports has shown the potential of the new-for-the-US Ford Transit as an ultra-luxurious people hauler.
The Transit Skyliner Concept, which we previewed last week, sports four finely crafted captain's buckets that can be moved into different formations based on need. Want to watch a movie? The seats can be swung around to face a 52-inch screen. Riding along with some business associates? A table can be popped up. There's even a configuration for tailgating.
The materials are, unsurprisingly, pretty plush. The leather seats and wood floors (yes, wood floors in a van) look great, while the trunk and its customized luggage are a nice touch, as well.
