90 Ford F450 Super Duty Rollback Project Parts Fix Nice Aluminum 17 Foot Bed !! on 2040-cars
Spencer, New York, United States
good project truck, runs but not real well, trans works but has trouble in reverse, bed and hydraulics work excellent!!!
1990 superduty f450 rollback tow truck with 92-97 front clip (nose). 17 foot aluminum chevron bed in great shape, ramsey winch, 460 v8 gas with 5 speed. heavy duty truck, good tires, new tune up (spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, new distributor pickup coil and thermostat. runs, drives ok. steering pump works but leaks the fluid out in a few days and reverse grinds going in pretty bad, you have to play with it, sometimes it goes right in without a problem. its the zf trans and does have a rebuild sticker on top. otherwise the bed, winch and all lights work. this would be a good farm truck or great for hauling junk or a cool project. solid cab, solid doors and floors. come check it out in person or call 6o7-857-7458 this is a project truck, by no means a daily driver yet but with some work i have no doubt it will be a great truck, i think it needs a water pump and it loads up at times, the truck needs alot of TLC. i used it a few times but honestly its way more than i need, i get by with a trailer just fine. |

Ford Focus was best-selling nameplate in 2012
Tue, 09 Apr 2013Last August, Ford made a few waves by claiming that the Ford Focus was, at that point, the top-selling car in the world. The automaker failed to account for variations of the Toyota Corolla wearing a different name (such as the Auris and Matrix), however. With official data from Polk coming in now, Ford is able to say that the Focus was, in fact, the best-selling nameplate in the world last year.
Using new-car registrations (which doesn't factor in fleet sales), the Polk data shows that a total of more than one million Focus models around the world. Strong sales in the US and China have led to a 16 percent increase in year-over-year Focus sales from 2011 that helped to create even more of a gap between it and the second-best global seller, the Corolla.
Ford also had the Fiesta and F-Series listed in the top 10 for worldwide nameplates, but what's even more impressive is the fact that the F-Series is only sold in North America. Scroll down to see the list (compiled by Ford using Polk data) of the top global sellers last year and a press release from Ford.
180,000 new vehicles are sitting, derailed by lack of transport trains
Wed, 21 May 2014If you're planning on buying a new car in the next month or so, you might want to pick from what's on the lot, because there could be a long wait for new vehicles from the factory. Locomotives continue to be in short supply in North America, and that's causing major delays for automakers trying to move assembled cars.
According to The Detroit News, there are about 180,000 new vehicles waiting to be transported by rail in North America at the moment. In a normal year, it would be about 69,000. The complications have been industry-wide. Toyota, General Motors, Honda and Ford all reported experiencing some delays, and Chrysler recently had hundreds of minivans sitting on the Detroit waterfront waiting to be shipped out.
The problem is twofold for automakers. First, the fracking boom in the Bakken oil field in the Plains and Canada is monopolizing many locomotives. Second, the long, harsh winter is still causing major delays in freight train travel. The bad weather forced trains to slow down and carry less weight, which caused a backup of goods to transport. The auto companies resorted to moving some vehicles by truck, which was a less efficient but necessary option.
