2004 Ford F-450 Bucket Truck

This 2004 Ford F-450 bucket truck is in excellent shape. It is a one owner truck that just came in off lease. The Oxford White paint still shines like brand new with only minor chips on the hood. There is not any body damage at all on this truck. The Interior of this truck is also in good shape. The seat is in great shape with only minor signs of wear and tear. It has a rubber mat and the material on the  seat is vinyl. It does not have any stains what so ever inside. The Air blow ice cold, and everything works as it should . The tires are all in great shape. It has a matching pair of Goodyear steer tires up front that are 75% tread. On the rear of the truck are matching Goodyears that are 85% tread. The Truck is equipped with a TeleLift TTS-25 mounted on a OMNIVAN work box. The box has excellent storage throughout. It has doors on all sides of the box with the majority of the storage being on the right side , with access through the rear and on the right side as well . The box is a very good size and measures 12' long 5'high and 7'6"wide. The only damage on the entire truck is on the rear bumper. I have enclosed pictures of the damage. It looks like they backed into something at a very slow speed and put a small kink in the bumper.  The Lift Works as it should. It seems a little slow to me but i was told by a lineman that is how they work. The boom has an overall reach of 32' from the top of the bucket to the ground with the boom fully extended. It is a telescoping boom that spins left and right, The bucket also tilts. The 6.0 Diesel engine fires right up and doesn't smoke at all. It has been very well maintained and shows it. The Automatic transmission shifts very smoothly with no slip at all. This truck is 100% ready to put to work. Please call with any questions that you may have @ 1-270-437-4127 and ask for cody. Crowdsource funding push on to save historic Ford buildings

Thu, 22 Aug 2013

Detroit has no shortage of old, abandoned buildings, both within the city and in the surrounding communities. Few, though, have the historical significance of the old Ford Highland Park facility. Home to the very first moving assembly line, Highland Park was designed by the legendary Albert Kahn, and was one of the homes of the Model T.
Now, the Woodward Avenue Action Association is attempting to buy both the 40,000-square-foot admin building, which is located off the historic Woodward Avenue, and an 8,000-square-foot garage. The WAAA's goal is to convert the buildings into an automotive heritage center. The Detroit News spoke to the interim director of the WAAA, Deborah Schutt, who commented, "[Metro Detroit has] not been very good at telling our own story. So we've decided, let's pull everything together and tell our story."
The WAAA made an offer of $550,000 to buy the two buildings, and has $400,000 from the Michigan Department of Transportation and another $15,000 from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. It's trying to raise a further $125,000 through crowd-sourcing, starting a campaign called "Five Dollars A Day," after old Hank Ford's $5-per-day wage for line workers.

'Car Wars' says Ford, Honda to pick up share, Fiat-Chrysler ambitions downplayed

Sat, 14 Jun 2014

Don't look for a tremendous shifts in automotive market share over the next three years because it might not be coming. That's at least according to the annual Car Wars report by John Murphy, from Bank of America Merrill Lynch Global Research.
In the report's analysis of automakers' market share from 2013 to 2017, it predicts only small changes among the major companies. Ford and Honda see the biggest positive effect with an estimated 0.5 percent increase in their shares over the next three years; to 16.2 percent and 10.3 percent respectively. On the flip side, European automakers and Nissan are expected to lose 0.2 percent each to fall to 8.3 percent and 7.8 percent each respectively. The rest of the industry is predicted to hold steady as it is now.
The biggest loser in that prediction might be Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles. The report certainly throws a wet blanket on its plan for significant gains in market share. Murphy told The Detroit News that the company's goal was "almost unattainable."

A tribute to William Clay Ford

Tue, 11 Mar 2014

The passing of William Clay Ford has been a big event for the company he spent most of his life helping run. Ford spent 57 years working for his family's company. Considering the Blue Oval has been around for over 100 years, WCF's passing is the end of an era for the Dearborn-based manufacturer.
Ford's YouTube channel has issued a short memorial video highlighting the life of the longest-lived grandson of company founder Henry Ford. It follows William Clay from his time as a boy, showing him alongside his grandfather, through his younger years, and into his twilight, as the patriarch of the Ford family.
Take a look below for this touching memorial video on William Clay Ford.
