this was my welding truck and it could be a good work truck for someone. it has a huge flatbed 7'8"X11' and its all aluminum. if you could not tell this is a retired U-Haul truck so I have no idea how many miles are on it. the truck runs but it needs the carburetor rebuilt, it will start but it sounds like it is either flooding and starts loading up and if you give it gas for to long it will die. I didn't clean anything so what you see is what you get. it has a large dent in the top of the cab (but you cant see it from the ground) it has other dents and scratches but not nothing major. the motor doesn't burn oil don't leak anything gets a little oil on the intake but  I probably add 1 quart a year. its a 79 so no power steering.it has a bad exhaust leak, the seat is in bad shape but I tolerate both. no ac and the heater don't blow very well. but lights and the wipers work. the last job I drove on I went 80 miles round trip, 400 miles in a week. you would have to haul (you haul the U-Haul) or could tow it. I know its not worth much (probably get more if I sold the bed for scrap price) so happy bidding.

Ford Mustang hit by Moore' Oklahoma's EF5 tornado lives to do another burnout

Fri, 07 Jun 2013

Oklahoma recently saw the destructive power of an EF5 tornado, but in the aftermath of the devastation, we've also been witness to the incredible resilience of the human spirit. Moore, OK resident Jack Haden survived the storm but found that his 2003 Ford Mustang wasn't quite as lucky. As you can see in the image above, the tornado's 200+ mph winds did quite a number on the car, but while most people would have likely called their insurance company and scrapped the car, Haden had other plans.
After finding the car and seeing that its V6 still fired up, Haden spent a couple hours getting the car, um... roadworthy(?)... by removing the doors and front clip, cutting off the roof and putting on some new wheels and tires. He noticed that driving it around brought some comic relief to an area that needed a reason to laugh and smile. Check out the KSBI TV news report video below showing before and after pictures of the tough 'Stang, as well as a video showing the newly lightweight coupe doing a smoky burnout.

Ford settles class action suit over defective Navistar diesel engines

Fri, 25 Oct 2013

The 2003 Ford F-Series Super Duty (shown above) introduced the 6.0-liter Power Stroke diesel supplied by Navistar, and while that is an engine Ford would love to forget, it's now one step closer to putting that particular problem behind it. Automotive News is reporting that Ford has settled a class-action lawsuit brought on by problems with this engine that started right out of the gate and ultimately broke up the 30-year relationship between Ford and Navistar.
Owners and lessees of 2003-2007 Super Duty trucks and E-Series vans equipped with the 6.0-liter Power Stroke are eligible for deductible reimbursements of between $50 and $200 from the original five-year/100,000-mile engine warranty, while Ford is paying out as much as $825 for out-of-warranty engine repairs. These repairs may include the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler, EGR valve, oil cooler, fuel injectors and turbocharger, but are only covered if the components failed before six years or 135,000 miles.
In total, Ford has agreed to pay about 50 percent of the value of the repairs and deductibles paid by its customers who submit a claim before the end of this year, and $150,000 is going to the 16 named plaintiffs in the case; Navistar was not included in the lawsuit.
