2008 F-550 Lariat with a CM Hauler Bed.  Truck is Loaded!!  Its got leather, power, and heated seats.  It has the 6.4 Liter Powerstroke Diesel with just over 55k miles on it.

I added a custom stereo with MB Quart speakers, 2 amps and a sub with a full screen Pioneer head unit running it all.  Really sounds awesome!

Truck has never been used as a work truck.

This truck has the Kelderman air ride suspension.  This has an onboard air compressor with two airbags in the rear.  You can adjust the air pressure to smooth out the ride and it really works.

It has the 19.5" factory Alcoa aluminum rims with matching Michelin tires all around with plenty of tread left.

I just had the whole bed professionally painted Ford Tuxedo Pearl Black and it really shines!  I also had the spray on bedliner redone also to match.  All the tail lights are LED also.

To increase MPG and performance I had the DPF delete done along with a custom air intake.  It has the Spartan programmer with a ton of difference settings.  I average 16 mpg and it will get around 18 mpg on a road trip, quite impressive for a F-550!  I added a 5" exhaust tip for looks to along with its performance!

The entire truck shows like new and has always been maintained.  Both fuel filters have been changed within the past 2k miles and all service is up to date.  Truck is 100% ready to go!

The bed has a built in frame mounted receiver and a gooseneck hitch.  I have the bars for the bed if you needed to add a fifth wheel hitch also.

This is the prefect truck for any of your towing needs or just to use as a personal truck like I have.  It's good on fuel and will tow absolutely anything!

Any questions please call me at 256-749-7149.

Truck is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells.

Thanks and good luck!!

Fewest vehicles ever found eligible for Most American survey

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

Once again, the most American car on the market is from an American brand. The Ford F-150 retained its number one spot in Cars.com's annual survey of the most American vehicles, trumping the Toyota Camry, which remains at number two.
Ford taking the top spot is small consolation, though, as the Detroit Three aren't too well represented here. General Motors scored a win at number seven, with the Chevrolet Corvette, while Chrysler squeaked in at number ten, with the Dodge Viper. Outside of those three vehicles, Toyota and Honda dominate the top ten.
What's most remarkable, though, is that there were so few cars available for this year's list.

Evo grabs Ford's Fiesta R5 rally car by the scruff

Wed, 04 Sep 2013

Evo and host Henry Catchpole were thinking of excuses reasons to borrow the bonkers Ford Fiesta R5 rally car for a day or two, when it struck them: the car is street legal. With access to the R5, some of the world's most beautiful driving roads in the English Lake Country nearby, and a handy video crewing hanging around, the plan seemed to write itself.
Based on the resulting video, it was a good plan. Without spoiling the video for you - something we can't really do in text as the best part is listening to the rally car run - Catchpole finds the Fiesta to be sublimely quick and massively satisfying. Even taking the car for a spin on a pseudo rally stage, after leaving the English countryside, does nothing but add to his assessment of the beastly little Ford. Scroll on below to see for yourself, and enjoy the ride.

Leno drives Henry Ford II's all-original '52 Ferrari 212 Barchetta

Tue, 17 Jun 2014

The story of the relationship between Henry Ford II and Enzo Ferrari is absolutely fascinating. The two great men of the auto industry had what appeared to be a burgeoning friendship until Ferrari pulled out of a deal to sell his company to Ford in the '60s. The latest car featured in Jay Leno's Garage is a 1952 Ferrari 212 Barchetta that tells the very beginnings of that story.
This Prancing Horse was a gift to Ford from Enzo when the two companies were first thinking about merging, according to the curator of the Petersen Automotive Museum. Ferrari really wanted to show off its best so instead of the 212's normal V12, this car was fitted with the larger 2.7-liter unit from a Ferrari 225. The car has been almost unaltered since then. It still wears its original paint, and it's tires date back to 1954.
The great thing about the Petersen is that unlike a lot of auto museums, the people there actually drive the cars and keep them in working order. Once on the road with Leno behind the wheel, this Ferrari really sings. Unfortunately, he can't open it up too much because the 60-year-old tires really hold things back. Scroll down to watch this amazing piece of automotive history and learn it's possible effect on the styling of the original Ford Thunderbird.
