7.3 L IDI diesel engine 4dr crew cab long bed 7.3 L IDI motor is a Ford Factory Remanufactured engine- do not know when motor was put in or why, engine runs great has new Optima Red Top batteries, new alternator, new vacuum brake pump, new power steering pump, new power steering pulley, new serpentine belt, new tensioner, new idler pulleys, new front main engine seal, new front harmonic dampner, new injector return lines and seals and o-rings, new glow pug controller, new glow plugs, new tps sensor, new cam sensor, new throttle cable, new fuel filter top housing, reconditioned air conditioning- changed from R-12 to R-134A with retrofit sticker, new abs sensor HAVE RECEIPTS FOR ALL WORK DONE ENGINE STARTS RIGHT UP AND DRIVES EXCELLENT I bought truck in Klamath Falls, OR with a blown front main seal and i have fixed everything from head to toe on this truck, it RUNS LIKE A DREAM, i love these model year Fords and love to recondition them E40D transmission has new filter and fluid at 170,000 miles truck shifts great, did not ever do any towing with this truck- transmission has been taken care of Manual transfer case- has new 4WD indicator light from Ford Front Axle is solid front with manual locking hubs, front driveline is all new with new u-joints, double cardon joint, and has been balanced so it can be used at speeds 55 mph and above Rear Axle is full floating 10.25 inch with new fluids and right side wheel seal, all rear driveshaft u-joints have been replaced Front Brakes have new rotors, new hub seals, new performance high heat brake pads, 4WD hubs were cleaned and lubed, new calipers, new front end gear lube Rear Brakes have turned drums with new pads and new rear end gear lube, right side has new wheel seal READING utility bed - bed has 6 doors all with lock and key, all boxes are painted inside and have door seal weather stripping, bottoms of most boxes are lined with craftsman flooring protection tiles, both sides of box has aluminum diamond plate on tops, 16 gauge metal custom one piece bed guard railing with tie downs and 2x4 slots built in is mounted to bed, bed has retractable gooseneck hitch and rails for 5th wheel hitch mounted inside, bed is wired with rear working lights and has additional hookups as well inside rear doors, bed was just professionally painted by Maaco this year, inside of bed is painted with rust inhibiting primer Rear bumper is a Ruenell made bumper with steps welded in, right side step has holes drilled for a vise mount, bumper is rated at over 10,000lb pull by itself, also has seperate 10,000lb receiver hitch below it mounted to frame, mounted to back of bumper is a electrical junction box for easy wiring hook-ups for towing or lights Front bumper is a heavy duty winch bumper with roller fairlead mounted to it/ NO WINCH Tires are 35/12.50/18 Toyo Open Country MT they have about 25% tread left Rims are 18" and are in good condition/ some small pitting by wheel mounts from brake dust corrosion Interior is in Great shape, everything is original no tears in seats or headliner, driver side rear door electric lock does not work, dash has two toggle switches one for rear lights and another is wired to back of truck but is capped, truck has a Kelsey Brake Controller mounted in cab, windows are tinted limo on rear window and two rear doors, 30% on front windows, front windshield is new BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING PAYMENT THROUGH PAY PAL TITLE WILL BE MAILED TO BUYER |

Consumer Reports says Toyota, Ford, Honda and Chevy are big winners in brand perception survey
Wed, 05 Feb 2014According to Consumer Reports, the automotive brands that stand out in the minds of car buyers are, in order: Toyota, Ford, Honda and Chevrolet. This news comes after the magazine polled its readers, asking them to take into account vehicle quality, safety, performance, value, fuel economy, design/style, and technology/innovation - which are the factors that car shoppers are most influenced by.
It's important to note that this award is only about perception. In other words, it's perceived quality, not actual quality. "Often, perception can be a trailing indicator, reflecting years of good or bad performance in a category, and it can also be influenced by headlines in the media," said Jeff Bartlett, Consumer Reports deputy automotive editor.
The brand that made the biggest jump in perception amongst Consumer Reports readers is Tesla, which posted an impressive 47-point gain to finish in fifth place. Subaru is also notable for finishing in the top 10, despite being one of the smaller manufacturers doing business in the US. Project Ugly Horse alive and kicking at Road & Track
