Here it is a 2008 Ford F250 Super Duty Diesel. I bought this truck new from Galpin Ford in Panorama City and used it to commute from LA to Lancaster for work for a few years. It was always 100%, runs easy and strong. The mileage is virtually all highway miles with occasionally pulling a 16' trail that I used to have. The Tires have tons of tread. There is a 5th wheel hitch with trailer brake controller inside. Also, the rear shocks can be adjusted with compressed air. This truck will no doubt run for a long time to come and be a great asset to you, as it was me. A couple of friendly head's up for full disclosure, I want you to be happy, the oil pan is leaking a bit of oil but nothing major through. I'm told that it is a tough job due to the fact that there is some bar in the way. and the automatic windows are aftermaket and has a bit of a rattle of something that's jiggling inside the door. Also, the bed of the truck as bit of wear and tear under the liner. 2015 Ford F-150 shaves 700 pounds, adds 2.7-liter EcoBoost [w/video]
Mon, 13 Jan 2014The Ford F-150 is one of the best selling vehicles on the planet. Considering that, one can imagine that when it comes time for a redesign, there are hardly any half measures. For its lucky thirteenth generation, Ford has gone all-in on the single most important vehicle in its portfolio, redesigning it from the ground up.
The big news is the F-150's new, lightweight, Atlas-inspired body. Ninety-three percent of that new body is made from a sort of aluminum alloy not unlike what the US military uses in its M2 Bradley fighting vehicles and Humvees, and it accounts for up to 70 percent of the F-150's 700-pound weight reduction. As a side benefit, the aluminum body should prove more resistant to dents and dings. Built Ford tough, indeed.
If you're wondering where the other 30 percent of that 700-pound weight loss went, 8.5 percent (60 pounds) came from the increased use of high-strength steel (up from 23 percent to 77 percent) in its ladder-box frame. Ford claims this steel is comparable to some of the heavy duty pickups used by its competitors, with a PSI rating of 70,000.

Sat, 17 Aug 2013Saleen used the occasion of the race-fueled Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca to announce its new Heritage Collection Lineup. The event was punctuated with the debut of the collection's first member, the 2014 Saleen George Follmer Edition Mustang.
Follmer's name will likely sound familiar to fans of American racing in the 1960s and '70s. The driver competed in Formula One with the Shadow team in 1973, ran the Indianapolis 500, was the Can-Am champion in 1972 and drove stock cars in NASCAR's Winston Cup as well. The multi-disciplined driver is now one of three -the other two being Mark Donohue and Swede Savage - with the honor of upcoming, limited edition Saleen-tuned vehicles..
