No major damage, just normal wear and tear for a vehicle of this model year. Non-smoker owner. Runs great and only problem is with starter. Sometime the starter misses but fire right up with second try of the starter. Runs great, just took truck on a 3,000 mile road trip in July. Serviced with all AMSOIL lubricants and coolant."

This is a great running truck with a strong 6.0L Powerstroke engine. The truck comes with Leer bed cap (new in Jan 2013 $1100), Edge Juice w/Attitude Performance Module that adds +120 hp & 240 ft/lbs torque (new in Jan 2013 $900) Coolant by-pass filter, 4" turbo back MBRP exhaust, ficmrepair FICM with the Hercules 40 tune, Mag-Hytec transmission pan and rear differential cover, Afe Stage II Intake, new glow plugs, wires, and control module @ 165,443 miles, new International Maxx Force oil cooler at 159,661 miles, the fuel injectors were pulled at 165,443 miles and sent to RPM Diesel for testing and all passed factory flow tests and were cleaned and reinstalled, Recon Halo Projector headlamps (new in Dec 2012), truck has a high idle switch installed, trailer brake controller, the HPOP was replaced at 129,022 miles.

I just took this truck on a 3,000 mile road trip with no issues. I am selling because I purchased a new crew cab truck because the extended cab was getting small with the family. The only issue is the starter. Sometimes the starter misses but the second try she always fires up and runs smooth, no smoke and great power. I have receipts on hand that will ship with the truck. If you want additional pictures let me know.

Buyer must pick-up or arrange for shipping at their own cost.

Reserve set at a reasonable price within range of Kelly Blue Book value.

Mileage may increase from what is listed but truck is not driven daily. Vehicle is being listed locally also.

White House clears way for NHTSA to mandate vehicle black boxes

Fri, 07 Dec 2012

At present, over 90 percent of all new vehicles sold in the United States today are equipped with event data recorders, more commonly known as black boxes. If the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gets its way, that already high figure will swell to a full 100 percent in short order.
Such automotive black boxes have been in existence since the 1990s, and all current Ford, General Motors, Mazda and Toyota vehicles are so equipped. NHTSA has been attempting to make these data recorders mandatory for automakers, and according to The Detroit News, the White House Office of Management Budget has just finished reviewing the proposal, clearing the way. Now NHTSA is expected to draft new legislation to make the boxes a requirement.
One problem with current black boxes is that there's no set of standards for automakers to follow when creating what bits of data are recorded, and for how long or in what format it is stored. In other words, one automaker's box is probably not compatible with its competitors.

Bill Ford wins National Pond Hockey Championship with employees

Tue, 11 Feb 2014

Who says executives aren't people? This past weekend, Bill Ford, executive chairman of Ford Motor Company, and a group of employees trekked up to Eagle River, WI for a few games of pond hockey. Team Ford took part in the 2014 Labatt Blue/USA Pond Hockey Championship, capturing its fifth title in the 50+ Tier 1 Division.
"It feels great to win," Ford, who plays on the team alongside other Ford employees, told the USA Hockey website. "It was fun to play [River Valley Pioneers] because they're great guys and we play them every year. We finally beat them, which we were due. It was a very clean game, a tough game."
The FoMoCo team managed to score seven goals to River Valley's two, and went undefeated in all five of its games during the tourney. Take a look below for the official press release on Team Ford's win.

Has the 2015 Ford Mustang gained hundreds of pounds?

Sun, 01 Jun 2014

Automakers face competing interests when it comes to developing a new generation of vehicle. On the one hand, companies want to build their cars to be safer and better handling, with more equipment and maybe even larger dimensions over the model it's replacing. On the other hand, they strive to keep weight down to the benefit of both performance and fuel consumption. Usually something has to give, and in the case of the new 2015 Ford Mustang, those efforts may have resulted in a weight penalty of two or three hundred pounds.
This according to Blue Oval modifier Steeda Autosports, which states that "the 2015 Mustang ended up gaining 200-300 pounds in this remake". Despite the Mustang not being on the market yet, it would appear the leading Ford aftermarketer has been given early access to the 2015 model to help jumpstart its tuning efforts (a rather common development among trusted tuners). If Steeda's assertion is accurate, that would make the challenge of getting the new pony car up to speed for both Ford and aftermarket customizers like Steeda that much greater.
We're waiting for official word from Ford on the veracity of Steeda's claim, but if true, it's bound to be a bit of disappointing news for legions of Blue Oval performance enthusiasts. Watch this space for more.
