1987 Ford F-250 RWD Pickup Truck
This 1987 F-250 has had two owners. Do you want to be the third? Reserve set at $1500. The RWD 7.5L V8 has a lot of "get-up-and-go" and makes this a perfect rig for towing and hauling. At 126,650, it's been well maintained and looks great. The cruise control works nicely making this truck very comfortable in the highway. There are new tires on the back. However, the front tires are showing their age. It also has had the starter motor and solenoid replaced and new engine motor mounts installed. This truck has been repainted twice. The latest paint job is pretty good, except the pin stripping is dry and brittle. The interior is in mostly good shape. The exception being the headliner and the drivers side seat. See pictures. This is a great truck and I wish I could keep it. Alas, I have other projects that need my attention. If you're interested, I encourage you to take this for a test drive. The proof is in the pudding. In this episode of Jay Leno's Garage, we get the lowdown on the modifications made to the Ford Explorer for the Interceptor package (which looks pretty tough in its California Highway Patrol livery).
The new Ford is cool, but cooler still are the pack of classic CHP cars that Jay has along for the episode. Consumer Reports explains its disdain for infotainment
Thu, 20 Mar 2014One of the perks of reviewing all manner of cars and trucks is that we're exposed to all the different infotainment systems. Whether Cadillac's CUE, Chrysler's UConnect, BMW's iDrive or MyFord Touch, we sample each and every infotainment system on the market.
Not surprisingly, some are better than others. It seems consumers have come to a similar consensus, with Consumer Reports claiming that Ford and Lincoln, Cadillac and Honda offer the worst user infotainment experiences. Not surprisingly, you won't find much argument among the Autoblog staff.

This 2,000-hp Mustang is in serious need of wheelie bars
Tue, 25 Feb 2014The Ford Mustang on the right is drag racing with the standard technique. The Mustang on the left, driven by David Measell, is using a new "rear bumper only" technique that evidently surprised everyone at the South Georgia Motorsports Park strip - including Measell.
Measell said his outfit just bought the car the week before the event, noting that it has more than 2,000 horsepower. Speaking of his "flying" run, Measell said, "We turned it up to dip on down," by which he meant they turned up the power in order to get his time down. Turns out all that power and all that traction sent the nose straight up into the air almost as soon as the race began.
He told an interviewer afterward that this was his first race in a "regular car" since he normally drives a pro-mod. "I like my wheelie bars," he concluded. You can see how he got there in the video below.
