Currently driven daily."

This truck has been my daily driver since 2010. It has been a great truck for me, but mounting mechanical issues and the need for an extended cab truck are forcing me to sell.

The truck is a '95 Ford F-250 4x4. 5.8L V8. It currently has 163,XXX miles on it, but I am driving it to work, so that number will change.

The truck has an 8' box, and the topper is included with the truck.

I have roughly $3,000 in receipts for the truck since 2010, including brand new BF Goodrich commercial tires, front end work, new windshield and a brake job.

The body of the truck is what it is, considering it spent its entire life in Michigan & Wisconsin.

The issues with the truck currently are the radiator and the transmission. The truck still runs and drives fine, but the transmission has a small leak, and if you don't keep an eye on the fluid level, it has a difficult time going into 4th gear. The radiator handles city driving with no issue, but rapid accelerations, such as on the highway, cause the temperature gauge to jump (always in 'Normal' range).

The truck has no catalytic converters, true duals with Flowmasters. Rust has gotten the best of the rear-most exhaust, so it stops right after the mufflers.

Overall, the truck is a good truck. It has gotten me through four winters with no issues.

This would be a great farm truck, landscaping truck, hunting truck, or wood hauler. If you're mechanically inclined, it could be a daily driver, but that's up to you.

I'm hoping to get $2,500 so I can put new tires on my fiancees car, as well as some money towards my next truck, but I am listening to offers, as I would like to sell soon.

Truck is for sale locally as well.

Reflecting on the Ford GT on its 10-year anniversary

Thu, 10 Apr 2014

Ten years ago, during the bright-eyed enthusiasm of the early 2000s and before the collective automotive industry did its best Titanic impression, we had the Ford GT. An everyman's supercar like there'd never been (remember, this was before 638-horsepower Corvettes were a thing), the GT arrived with a supercharged, 5.4-liter V8 that produced 550 horsepower and graced this retro-styled rocket with an easy, sub-four-second sprint to 60 miles per hour.
Equal to the GT's performance were its looks. Inspired by the GT40 racers that dominated Le Mans and bested Ferrari in the 1960s, the sleek, low, almost-reptilian look of the GT was the absolute pinnacle of the retro styling that so defined the early 2000s.
Crank and Piston put together a video celebrating the ten-year-old GT, arguing that Ford is a bit too busy with the next-gen Mustang, which turns 50 next week, to do it themselves. In the short clip, there is gratuitous engine noise and supercharger whine, not to mention scenes of the white-on-red GT prowling the deserts and streets of Dubai. It's a bit short, but very nicely shot. Scroll down, have a look and be sure to turn up those speakers before getting started.

Ford Australia launches Falcon GT F 351, last of its line [w/video]

Sun, 15 Jun 2014

It's always best to go out with a bang rather than a whimper, and Ford Performance Vehicles is doing just that in Australia with the Falcon GT F 351. It's the most powerful road car the Aussie performance brand has ever made with a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 pumping out 471 horsepower (351 kilowatts) and 420 pound-feet of torque. It's joined by the FPV Pursuit Ute with the same powerplant tuned to 422 hp and 402 lb-ft. Sadly, the last F in this Falcon's name stands for Final.
The GT F 351 is a monumental way to go out, though. It harkens back to the old days of Aussie muscle Fords, and the 351kw output is meant to reference the classic Falcon GT and its 351-cubic-inch V8. In addition to the massive power, the F has the improved suspension from the R-Spec model and Brembo brake calipers.
FPV is building just 500 GT F sedans for Australia and 50 more for New Zealand, plus 120 Pursuit Utes. They feature a blacked-out hood and black stripes over the hood and sides, plus gloss black accents around the headlights, door handles and mirrors.
