Hello and thank you for taking the time to view my listing for my '75 ford f100 Ranger 4X2 Pickup that has been a dream to own. It has a 390 motor with a 4 speed manual transmission. This has been a daily driver for me for the past two years and I have put some time and money into this bad boy. The motor and transmission are very strong and can tow just about anything within reason. Over the past 1 1/2 years I have put on all new tires, new rear R/L axle bearings/seals as well as a new rear pinion seal and drive shaft to rear uni-joint.  New front brake pads as well as new rear brake pistons and shoes.  New clutch/engine main seal. New starter and starting solenoid. New cap/rotor/vacuum advance and plug/plug wires. New water pump/thermostat as well as all new belts and hoses. Rebuilt over sized radiator was put in about two years ago. Rebuilt 4 barrel edelbrock carburetor with new choke pipe connector assembly. New vacuum hoses as well as new fuel pump/filter/hoses. The new brake master cylinder as well as a new intake gasket for the aluminum intake manifold. Has over sized Mickey Thompson valve covers and a Magnaflow exhaust system that was installed about 2 years ago. Has power brakes but no power steering. The truck does have the original and fully functional, in-cab/external factory mounted a/c unit but needs a full recharge.....used it last about a year ago and the freon was done then and have not used it since. The heater core is toast and will need to be replaced but is bypassed for now (about a $30 part) but will take some time if you do it yourself. Oil pan gasket should be replaced and has some oil leaks from around the seal. Horn is missing/non functional (easy fix). Some jackass broke off the antenna a few months back so that will need to be replaced. Cd/Cb both work, however the cd player needs to be rewired. All the trim is still on the vehicle as well as the original ford hub caps.  There is a rear tow hitch with hook-ups as well as a front mounted tow hitch for backing in trailers/boats. Spare tire is present as well as original bottle jack. Body is in great shape and has only some patches of surface rust..."NO BODY CANCER". No  prior wrecks or body damage and all the windows are original. This truck has been in California its whole life and has been a fantastic truck to own. Would hope that it goes to a good home and if it happens to stay in California it is a "smog exempt" vehicle and the registration was just payed (June). Also will include a full set of original ford truck shop manuals as well as a stack of original dealership '75 ford truck brochure/leaflets....some cool history. If you decide to purchase the vehicle, you will have to arrange for your own mode of transportation. I am close to Sacramento, so I am sure there are plenty of shippers to work with in the area and I am more than willing to drive it to a local shipper if need be. You are more than welcome to pick up this truck locally as well if you would prefer. The truck is fully capable of cruising away and all the lights work for the evening cruiser. I would prefer a bank to bank wire transfer or a certified bank check for payment upon sale for any long distance buyers....paypal may be possible for 4% additional fee. If you are picking up locally, I am more than happy to take good old cash for the sale of the vehicle. Title is in hand and feel free to ask any questions. If you feel my price is a little high for your budget, do not hesitate to make me a offer....reasonable ones please. Thanks for looking!

1964 Ford GT40 prototype sells for $7M

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Seven-figure Ferraris are not horribly rare. Heck, an eight-figure Ferrari isn't a rare occurrence. Between modern masterpieces like the Enzo and more classic offerings, cracking the million-dollar mark isn't a particularly tall order for the cars from Maranello. For a Ford, though, it's a big deal.
Now, this is not just some rare Mustang. This is a GT40, the car that Henry Ford II commissioned to whip Enzo Ferrari around a track in France. As far as the Le Mans-winning racers go, they don't get much rarer than this one. Sold at the Mecum Auctions in Houston, this is one of the prototypes, meaning it's one of the very first GT40s ever built. That makes its $7 million winning a bid, a record for on-air coverage of the auction, a pretty darn impressive figure.
You can watch the auction below, but first, take a look back at our original story on this rare Blue Oval.

Are you Ford's next Bullitt Mustang? [w/poll]

Thu, 27 Mar 2014

Ford has a long history of offering special editions of its legendary Mustang. One of the most vaunted of those trim packages, though, has only been offered twice. The first time was in 2001, and then again in 2008. Yes, we're talking about the Bullitt.
Named for the infamous Dark Highland Green Mustang Fastback driven by Steve McQueen in the 1968 cop melodrama Bullitt, the car was famous for not just its pilot, but the high-speed chase it took part in during the movie. Now, we think we have images of the next Bullitt.
According to our spy photographers, the paint is a "dead-ringer" for the Dark Highland Green that has signified these special edition Mustangs. While we're inclined to agree, it's also worth pointing out that this shade looks very similar to one of the 2015's other new colors, Guard. We've yet to see one on the road (let alone in such dreary conditions), so it's tough to say for certain.

2014 Ford Transit unveiled in Chassis Cab and Cutaway versions

Fri, 08 Mar 2013

As a leader in commercial vehicles here in the US, we knew Ford wouldn't take too long to show off the chassis cab and cutaway versions of its 2014 Ford Transit van. Set to go on sale this fall, Ford already revealed the full-body version of the Transit, and now it has pulled the cover off exposed-frame models just in time to to compete against the all-new Ram Promaster.
The term "chassis cab" refers to models with a fully enclosed cabin used for box vans or rental trucks, while cutaway models leave the cabin open behind the B-pillars for a pass-through on vehicles such as Class C motorhomes or ambulances. Both will offer three wheelbase options (138, 156 and 178 inches), the choice of single or dually rear axles, and plenty of upfitter-friendly touches including a pre-wired body harness and multiple body mount locations.
The new design will also help make upfitting a little easier since the fuel filler is now built into the cab (just behind the driver's door). Those integrated fuel filler necks will serve to feed either a 3.7-liter V6, a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, or a 3.2-liter Power Stroke diesel. Transit chassis cab and cutaways will wear varying Gross vehicle weight ratings from 9,000 pounds to 10,360 pounds depending on spec.
