Up for sale I have a 1970 Ford F100 with 41,867 original miles on it! I bought it around Thanksgiving 2013 and I have not been able to spend much time with it. I haven't put more than 25 or so miles on it. With work and finishing up school I haven't been able to give it the attention it needs and deserves. So let me give you the bad news first:
There is a small transmission fluid leak. I bought an additive thats meant to soften the seals and stop the leak but I haven't had time to give it a try. The front right tire is flat. I have not had the time to see if it can be patched or needs to be replaced. The good news is its a beautiful truck. It has 41,867 original miles. It starts up but may take a few times to idle. It sounds great! The engine bay is clean. I put a new battery in a couple months ago. But like I haven't spent much time with the truck. I believe if somebody takes this on as a project, a couple thousand more will go a long way and you'll have a great classic truck! Please view the pictures carefully and ask me any questions you may have or offers. I recommend the truck be hauled and not driven away so please bring a trailer! The truck is sold as is. There is no warranty. It has a clear title and registration. Thanks! |

Ford Transit Skyliner Concept is a Gulfstream for the road
Sat, 12 Apr 2014If you are afraid to fly or just want to arrive at your ultimate destination in absolute comfort, then the Ford Transit Skyliner concept might be the perfect vehicle for you. Built by Galpin Auto Sports and based on a 2015 Transit, the van is basically a private jet on wheels. It even has a touch of Transformers about it with the ability to switch between four modes by pressing a button in a smartphone app.
Based on the long wheelbase, high-roof model with 487 cubic feet of cargo space and 6 feet, 9.5 inches of interior height, the Skyliner has movable captains chairs that shift around among four modes. In theater mode, the seats turn and recline to face a 52-inch retractable movie screen with 7.2 surround sound. For business, a motorized table unfolds, and the chairs gather around it. There is a mode for tailgating where the door opens four-feet wide, and, when traveling, passengers can recline back with footrests that extend for maximum comfort.
To make the ride even plusher, there is a satellite and media server to meet your entertainment needs, and there is even a built-in bar in the back. If this Ford had a bathroom, you could live in it. Of course, you would need to hire a driver to enjoy all the amenities in the back.
Ford and 'Dirty Jobs' pitchman Mike Rowe part ways [w/videos]
Thu, 20 Feb 2014Former Dirty Jobs host Mike Rowe has one less job as of today - the pitchman is no longer a pitchman for Ford, with yesterday's announcement from Rowe ending a seven-year partnership between the TV host and the Blue Oval.
Rowe made the announcement to political pundit Glenn Beck, saying the two are "going in different directions" and wishing Ford "every possibly success that any car company could ever have," according to The Detroit News. Rowe and Ford got together in 2005, right around the time the 51-year-old came to prominence as the host of Dirty Jobs and the narrator for Deadliest Catch, two of the Discovery Channel's most popular shows.

Curtain officially comes down on Mercury as dealers remove signage
Mon, 03 Jan 2011The process of shutting down the Mercury is complete. Ford officially made the decision to close its mid-level brand in June of 2010. In the months that followed, Ford offered its dealers money to stop selling the cars, with production shutting down in September. The last Mercury, a Mariner, rolled off the assembly line in the beginning of October and former spokesperson Jill Wagner said her good-byes to both the car and her job. Now the last piece of the brand has come down as dealers are removing any and all Mercury signage from their lots.
