There are a few small dents along the sides of the truck and a few on the hood. This is a 48 year old truck that was painted about 10 years ago and some of the paint is fading and chipping. This was used as a work truck so there are scratches and dings along the truck. it has a steel bed. This was a three on the tree that was converted to the floor by the previous owner and I replaced the clutch two months ago. It runs great and fires right up. It will need new tires within the year. Brakes are good but should be replaced soon. The only real problems I have found with the truck is there is a small leak in the carburater and the wiring for the blinkers need to be replaced and the horn does not work."

Up for bid is a great 1965 Ford F-100 Stepside Pickup.  This was a base model truck and the only feature in the cab is an ashtray and glovebox.  It has a 240 cid inline 6 cylinder engine.  I am the third owner of the truck.  Since I have had it I have replaced the clutch and replaced all light bulbs. It runs great and fires up right away.  It was a three on the tree but the previous owner dropped it to the floor. It has manual steering and brakes.  There are small dents and scratches on the truck and the paint job is 10 years old.  It could go for a new coat of paint.  It has a small leak on the carburetor and the blinkers work most of the time.  The horn does not work.  All lights work and so do the wipers.  the exhaust was upgraded to a dual exhaust. It is located in Mobile, AL.  If you have any questions feel free to contact me.  I can be reached at 251-589-0023.  Titles were not around in Alabama or Georgia, where the truck is from, back in the sixties.  To register the truck it will be sold with a detailed bill of sale to allow an antique tag or farm use tag.

A 500.00 deposit is required at auction end and payment within three days.  Rest of payment can be cash at pickup or Paypal. Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping within three days of auction end.  The truck is sold as is with no warranty. There are no returns.  Thanks and happy bidding!!!

Ford announces four recalls, 1.4M vehicles affected

Thu, 29 May 2014

Ford is taking a bit of the spotlight away from General Motors, announcing a major group of recall campaigns, covering a total of 1.4 million vehicles built between 2006 and 2013.
Let's start with the big one, which covers the Ford Escape, Mercury Mariner and, according to The Detroit News, Ford-built Mazda Tribute CUVs. 915,216 vehicles are covered, all of which were built in model years 2008 to 2011. 736,000 vehicles are in the US, while Canada then Mexico make up the vast majority of the remainder. The problem is due to an issue with the torque sensor in the steering column, which could lead to sudden power steering failure. Manual steering would still be available, though.
"Dealers will perform one of three service fixes, depending upon what diagnostic codes are shown when the vehicle is taken to the dealer," Ford spokeswoman Kelli Felker wrote to Autoblog in an email. "They will either update software for the power steering control module and the instrument cluster module; replace the torque sensor; or replace the steering column, which includes upgraded power steering control module software."

Shelby American cleans house of 14 concept cars

Wed, 25 Jun 2014

Typically when an automaker rolls out a concept car or pre-production prototype, it does its tour and then disappears into the company's archives. Maybe it will be displayed for the public to see in the company's own museum or maybe it will spend most of its time under covers in a warehouse somewhere, but every once in a while, an automaker will open up its history and start selling off its concept cars. For Shelby American, "once in a while" has just rolled around.
The House that Carroll Built is moving from its previous headquarters at Las Vegas Motor Speedway to a new facility off of the Las Vegas strip, and in the process is liquidating fourteen of the rarest cars in its collection. That presents a tremendous opportunity for muscle car collectors to bring one or more of these snakes home.
As you might expect, the catalog is composed mostly of Mustangs, but not exclusively. There's a pair of 289 Cobras: the last of the 50th anniversary slab-sided continuation cars and an original development vehicle, offered at $200,000 apiece. At the other end of the spectrum you'll find the 2013 Shelby Raptor concept for $125k and Focus concept for $50k. And of course there are the Mustangs.

Curtain officially comes down on Mercury as dealers remove signage

Mon, 03 Jan 2011

The process of shutting down the Mercury is complete. Ford officially made the decision to close its mid-level brand in June of 2010. In the months that followed, Ford offered its dealers money to stop selling the cars, with production shutting down in September. The last Mercury, a Mariner, rolled off the assembly line in the beginning of October and former spokesperson Jill Wagner said her good-byes to both the car and her job. Now the last piece of the brand has come down as dealers are removing any and all Mercury signage from their lots.
